Abstract: A server receives from a user information regarding images. The information may include identification(s), selection(s) and/or uploads of the images. The images are printed on a plastic substrate so that a different portion of the substrate corresponds to a different image. Delivery address, postage, promotions, and other information may also be printed. The printed substrate is laminated. Manually separable articles are then defined on the substrate so that each article has a portion of the substrate with an image. The articles may be defined by perforating or partially die-cutting of the substrate along curves enclosing the articles. The articles may include means for fastening the articles to other objects, such as bracelets, snaps, cords, necklaces, backpacks, shoes, keys and key chains. Before manufacturing, the user may edit the images, and a simulated appearance of the printed substrate may be shown to the user, to obtain the user's approval.

Abstract: A secure card package which includes an inactive transaction card that includes an edge. The secure card package also includes a security piece that includes an edge. The security piece and the inactive transaction card are connected in an edge-to-edge manner to prevent the transaction card from being activated. The security piece is selectively detachable from the transaction card so that, when detached, the transaction card can be activated. The invention also includes a process for activating an inactive transaction card which includes the steps of receiving the inactive transaction card and a security piece and detaching the security piece from the inactive transaction card so that the inactive transaction card can be activated.

Abstract: A transaction card sheet product having a plurality of transaction card assemblies. Non-variable data is printed on selected portions of a sheet of material. A strip of removable tape is applied to the sheet of material, and variable data is printed on selected portions of the sheet of material and the strip of tape. The sheet of material is laminated with a transparent material. The laminated sheet of material is cut to define the plurality of transaction card assemblies such that each transaction card assembly includes an information card having variable and non-variable data printed thereon and a corresponding tape receiving portion attached to the information card and having a strip of removable tape attached thereto with variable data printed thereon which corresponds to the variable data printed on the information card.

Abstract: A method of making a transaction card sheet product having a plurality of transaction card assemblies. Non-variable data is printed on selected portions of a sheet of material. A strip of releasable tape is applied to the sheet of material, and variable data is printed on selected portions of the sheet of material and the strip of tape. The sheet of material is laminated with a transparent material. The laminated sheet of material is cut to define the plurality of transaction card assemblies such that each transaction card assembly includes an information card having variable and non-variable data printed thereon and a corresponding tape receiving portion removably attached to the information card and having a strip of removable tape attached thereto with variable data printed thereon which corresponds to the variable data printed on the information card.

Abstract: A packaging and method for displaying a data card. The packaging comprising a paper covering coated on one side thereof with a layer of polyethylene. The data card is positioned between a first cover portion of the covering and a second cover portion of the covering. The first cover portion is bonded to the second cover portion, and the first and second cover portions are bonded to the outer surface of the data card via the layer of polyethylene of the first and second cover portions whereby the data card is sealed between the first and second cover portions in a non-sliding relationship relative to the first and second cover portions such that unauthorized tampering with the paper covering to gain access to the data card is readily detectable.

Abstract: A card display package and method for manufacturing same is provided. The card package includes a card carrier constructed of a synthetic sheet of paper laminated with a plastic material. The card package further includes a card constructed of the synthetic sheet of paper and laminated with the plastic material and having at least a portion of the card projecting from the card carrier. The card is integrally formed with and selectively detachable from the card carrier and is provided with an encodable magnetic strip extending transversely across the portion of the card projecting from the card carrier whereby the card may be swiped through an encoding device without removing the card from the card carrier.

Abstract: A card package and method for delivering a card to a customer is provided. The card package includes a card carrier constructed of a synthetic sheet of paper laminated with a plastic material and having unique customer data disposed thereon. The card package further includes an information card constructed of the synthetic sheet of paper and laminated with the plastic material and having unique customer data disposed thereon corresponding to the customer data disposed on the card carrier. The information card is integrally formed with and selectively detachable from the card carrier. The method comprising inserting the card carrier and the integrally formed information card into an envelope with the card carrier and the information card remaining in a flat condition and delivering the envelope with the card carrier and the information card inserted therein to the customer.

Abstract: A packaging and method for displaying a card having coded data disposed on one side thereof are provided. The packaging comprising an opaque backing and a transparent covering. The data card is disposed on one side of the backing with the coded data positioned against the backing and the covering laminated to a portion of the backing and the data card so as to seal the data card between the covering and the backing and mask the coded data on the data card.
