Abstract: In various embodiments, a method and system for staging equipment rentals is given. In association with an equipment rental facility, a specified function is identified to be performed, such as loading an equipment asset on a vehicle. Parameters associated with an equipment rental reservation are identified and assigned a value. Based on the values so assigned, staging activities can be developed and modified, determined by a rule-based mechanism. Adjustments can be made to the nature, scope and timing of staging activities based on changes in the value(s) of reservation parameters.
