    Abstract: A system for distributing asphalt includes a vehicle and a distribution compartment coupled to the vehicle. The distribution compartment includes a support member, a laterally elongated element coupled to the support member, and two or more lateral containment members operatively coupled to the support member for inhibiting the escape of asphalt from the distribution compartment when asphalt is contained therein. At least one of the lateral containment members is laterally movable towards or away from one at least one other lateral containment member.
