  • Patent number: 11928862
Abstract: An approach is disclosed for visually identifying and/or pairing ride providers and passengers. The approach involves, for example, receiving location data indicating that a driver vehicle is within a proximity threshold of a passenger pickup location. The approach also involves initiating an activation of a camera of a passenger device to present live imagery on the passenger device. The approach further involves processing sensor data collected from one or more sensors of the passenger device to determine a rotation vector indicating a pointing direction of the passenger device. The approach also involves determining a new direction to point the passenger device to capture the driver vehicle in a field of view of the camera based on the rotation vector and the location data. The approach further involves providing output data for presenting a representation of the new direction in a user interface of the passenger device.

  • Publication number: 20230381479
Abstract: Disclosed are a subcutaneous port and method of implantation thereof. The subcutaneous port comprising a rigid inner member and an outer member comprising of flexible material connected to the inner member along at least one lateral periphery portion of the inner member, thereby forming a predetermined spatial shape of the subcutaneous port when in an elastically relaxed state. The subcutaneous port is configured to squeeze into a subcutaneous void when pushed through a surgical opening greater than a maximal cross-sectional circumference of the inner member and smaller than a maximal cross-sectional circumference of the predetermined spatial shape.

  • Publication number: 20230114415
Abstract: An approach is disclosed for providing digital street hailing. The approach involves, for example, initiating an activation of a camera of a passenger device to present live imagery thereon. The approach also involves processing sensor data collected from sensor(s) of the passenger device to determine a pointing direction of the camera. The approach further involves identifying vehicle(s) in the live imagery based at least on the pointing direction. The approach further involves retrieving driver information of the vehicle(s) via a network. The approach further involves initiating a repreparation of the driver information on a user interface of the passenger device. The approach further involves, in response to a user selection of one of the vehicle(s) based on the repreparation, initiating a repreparation of additional information of the selected vehicle on the passenger device, and/or a transmission of a ride request to a device associated with the selected vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20230045709
Abstract: A surgical device comprising an elongated body, a tissue penetrating apparatus and a light projector. The elongated body can reach with distal end thereof a surface of an organ within a subject's body. The tissue penetrating apparatus can be extended from the elongated body distal end along a curved penetration path restricted to a chosen penetration plane. The light projector can generate a shaped illumination on the surface of the organ indicative of an intersection of the penetration plane with the surface of the organ.

  • Publication number: 20200390960
Abstract: A split-tip catheter and methods for deploying a split-tip catheter in a right atrium are provided. The catheter is configured with a distal portion including a first and a second distal end regions elastically divergable from alignment along a splitting plane to regain a relaxed configuration. The first distal end region terminates in a first tip having a first forward opening, and the second distal end region terminates in a second tip having a second forward opening. Catheter deployment may include directing the first forward opening generally towards an anterior right atrium wall portion and applying the first forward opening to withdraw blood from the right atrium.
