  • Publication number: 20070273746
Abstract: A printer having multiple media supplies and multiple print heads and method for using the same is provided. More particularly, each print head included in the printer may be associated with one of the media supplies. Printer control electronics, a power supply, and interconnections to a computer or other device can be shared by the multiple print heads. Each print head may be associated with a platen, or a platen may be shared among multiple print heads. Where a platen is shared by multiple print heads, the platen may be rotated in a first direction to draw media past a first one of the print heads and in a second direction to draw media past a second one of the print heads. Moreover, a print head that is not in use can be moved so that it is not in contact with a moving platen.

  • Publication number: 20060220410
Abstract: A ramp door suited to pivot about an axis that extends substantially horizontally along the bottom of a cargo compartment opening has features of lightweight construction that may be used separately or in combination with features of a frame assembly having an upright configured to extend substantially vertically along one side of the opening to provide an interior space that may be used to house components of a ramp door lift assist system and/or components of a ramp door latching system. In some embodiments, the extent to which a lift assist cable is exposed when the ramp door is open is minimized by connecting the cable to the ramp door, and by guiding the cable into the interior space of the upright, at locations relatively near to the pivot axis.

  • Publication number: 20050194814
Abstract: A drop down door system for a vehicle in which a door is pivotally connected adjacent its lower edge margin for swinging between closed and open positions relative to a door opening framed at opposite sides by door jamb members. Elongate tension springs extend between the doorjamb members and opposite edge margins of the door. The doorjamb members have elongate channels for receiving the retracted springs, which channels are covered by portions of the door when it is closed. Hinge mechanism for the door is provided by aligned hinge sleeves on the door and door frame with an elongate hinge pin extending therethrough which has stop mechanism thereon for inhibiting movement of the pin from its selected assembled position.

  • Publication number: 20030215296
Abstract: An insert useful for replacing damaged threads in a hole is provided. The damaged threads originally extend along an axial length of the hole. The insert has an inner surface having inner threads corresponding to the damaged threads being replaced. The insert also has an outer surface having outer threads extending an axial length that is greater than the originally extending axial length of the damaged threads. The insert may be used to replace damaged threads in a spark plug hole. A kit including the insert, a tap having a thread milling section, and a retention mechanism implement is also provided. Preferably, the retention mechanism implement is an expansion tool for imbedding knurled threads into surrounding material. The tap has torque engagement mechanism with an outer radial dimension which is substantially equal to or smaller than the maximum outer radial dimension of the tap. An associated method is also provided.
