  • Publication number: 20060198594
Abstract: An optical fiber cable management panel includes drawer assemblies, each including a drawer slidable within a chassis. The chassis incorporates a grounding point, and the drawer assemblies are electrically connected to the grounding point by a grounding strap. The grounding strap flexes to allow the slidable movement of the drawer relative to the chassis. The strap may be folded one or more times. The strap may be bolted, welded, or otherwise conductively and non-rotatably affixed at each end to the drawer and the chassis so as to maintain a constant position within the assembly and a constant electrical connection between the drawer and the grounding point.

  • Publication number: 20060127026
Abstract: A fiber access terminal and assembly with an end cap and a housing configured for pulling through a conduit. Within an interior of the terminal and the assembly, an input cable is separated into individual fibers which are inserted within fiber pigtails extending from the housing and terminated at connectors. The end cap seals an interior of the housing and the terminal is sized for pulling through a conduit. The connectors may be positioned at two or more different distances from the end cap.

  • Publication number: 20060127028
Abstract: A device and method of blocking customer access to a fiber optic distribution cable. A service blocker is positioned between a fiber distribution cable and a customer drop cable within a fiber optic adapter. The service blocker includes a body which does not permit optical transmission between the fiber distribution cable and the customer drop cable. The service blocker includes a first end configured to be inserted within the fiber optic adapter and a second end configured connect with a fiber optic cable connector. A system for mounting fiber optic cables including a service blocker positioned within a bulkhead mounted adapter between two fiber optic cables.

  • Patent number: 6918479
Abstract: A diaphragm spring for a friction clutch includes a ring-like body area and a plurality of spring tongues arranged at the inner edge in a row in a circumferential direction and extending radially inward from the body area. Openings are formed between adjacent spring tongues, each opening having a radially outer base area, at least one of the openings being limited in the circumferential direction by a wall area having a curvature which increases as the wall proceeds from the base area.

  • Patent number: 6877596
Abstract: A diaphragm spring for a friction clutch includes a ring-like body area and a plurality of spring tongues arranged in a row in the circumferential direction and extending radially inward from the body area. A stiffening rib formed in at least one of the spring tongues extends radially into the body area.

  • Patent number: 4426571
Abstract: A portable electric hot air rework tool for directing a stream of turbulent hot air through removable and replaceable nozzles with a selectably sized orifice to predetermined size localized areas of a printed circuit assembly until a temperature sufficient to melt solder is achieved, thereby facilitating the soldering/desoldering of circuit components or parts of components mounted thereon. The apparatus essentially comprises a portable work station having upper and lower heat tubes, or plenums, through which a blower-forced stream of air made turbulent by turbulators with contra-pitched blades is directed, an adjustable support grid for supporting the pc assembly, within the directed air stream and a three-position switch for controlling the temperature and flow of the air in the heat tubes. An alignment positional indicator aids in precise location of the printed circuit assembly.

  • Patent number: 4262521
Abstract: A method of and apparatus for determining the gel point of a sample of epoxy resin. An aluminum foil tube containing the sample is inserted into the test pressure sensor which is located within a preheated laboratory environmental chamber. The test pressure sensor consists of two knurled cylinders each rotatably mounted about its axis wherein the axes are parallel and the plane of the two axes is horizontal. The axis of one of the cylinders is fixedly mounted. The axis of the other cylinder is slidably mounted within the horizontal plane of the two axes. A spring tends to force the axis of the slidably mounted cylinder toward the axis of the fixedly mounted cylinder. The sample becomes liquid within the tube, and the two are drawn into the nip of the cylinders by their rotation. The cylinders continue to rotate collapsing the sample tube within the nip of the cylinders causing the liquid resin to be displaced above the nip of the cylinders within the sample tube.

  • Patent number: 4222193
Abstract: A tubular case for a fishing rod which is formed from braided or pseudo-braided plastic filaments of an open, expandable weave, one end of the case being closed and provided with a loop member for facilitating the hanging thereof. The opposite end of the tubular case preferably has a flared opening to facilitate the insertion therein of the small, upper end of a fishing rod and its line guide. As the rod is forced into the sleeve, the sleeve expands so as to conform generally to the shape of the rod and its protuberances, i.e., line guides, bobbers, sinkers, and the like.
