  • Patent number: 6705676
Abstract: A base for an infant car seat includes a tilt adjustment mechanism that provides multiple vertical locking positions for adjusting the attitude of the attached infant car seat relative to a vehicle seat cushion. The base can have a storage compartment for one or more latch assemblies used to latch the base to the vehicle seat anchorages.

  • Patent number: 6139100
Abstract: A child's car seat (20) includes a backrest (26) with a plurality of strap slots (34) formed therein, a seat portion (24), and a removable headrest (22). The headrest (22) has a pair of projections (50) each having a pair of leaves (86) that extend outwardly from the other toward opposed peaks (88) and inwardly from the peaks (88) to form a head (80). The head (80) is rounded and the leaves (86) are flexible, such that upon initial insertion into the strap slots (34) the leaves (86) compress to facilitate ingress of the projection (50), and upon complete insertion, the leaves (86) expand to inhibit removal of the headrest (22). The position of the headrest (22) relative to the seat (20) is thus adjustable, according to the size of the child, dependent on into which of the plurality of slots (34) the projections (50) are inserted. The headrest (22) includes a pillow (54) shaped to have a lower portion (58) which helps to support the child's head and deter its forward motion.

  • Patent number: 6139101
Abstract: An adjustable child car seat (100) includes a base (110) with a pivot rod (174) at one end and a level adjuster receptor (140) with a plurality of adjust positions (150) at an opposite end. A recliner (114) is carried by the base (110) at the pivot rod (174). The recliner (114) provides a level adjuster (250) that is selectively moveable into any one of the adjust positions (150). The recliner also provides a seat recline level adjuster receptor (220) with a plurality of recline positions (224). A car seat (102) is pivotably mounted to the recliner (114) by a seat pin (126). A seat recline adjuster (300) is slidably mounted to the car seat and is selectively moveable into one of the recline positions. Accordingly, the level adjuster (250) allows positioning of the base (110) to the angle of the supporting seat. Further adjustment is permitted by moving the seat with respect to the recliner.

  • Patent number: 5660509
Abstract: A key duplicating machine having a key clamping assembly for supporting a key blank and a customer key to be duplicated, a key cutter assembly having a cutter wheel for cutting a pattern on the supported key blank and a follower for tracing a tooth patter on the supported customer key, a housing having a front wall, a top wall and a chip collection drawer lcoated below the front and top walls, the key clamping assembly being mounted on the front wall and the key cutter assembly being mounted on the top wall such that no obstructions exist between the key cutter assembly and the chip collection drawer located below the top wall, so that chips formed from a key cutting operation by the key cutter assembly fall unimpeded to the chip collection drawer, and surfaces which may collect the chips are minimized.

  • Patent number: 5538374
Abstract: A key duplicating machine which automatically liens the original and blank keys, clamping the keys in alignment with the appropriate clamping pressure, cuts double-sided keys in a single pass, prevents operation of the machine without the presence of the original and blank keys in the machine and which is capable of accepting virtually any type of key shape for duplication. The invention includes a single-sided key duplicating module having a motor driven cutter wheel which is slidably mounted on a travel table that, in turn, is slidably mounted on a base plate. The travel table includes a motor driven stacked cam assembly which engages fixed cam followers in the base plate, so when rotated, the cam assembly, travel table and cutter wheels are moved first in a cutting pass, then in a return pass with respect to the original and blank keys. The cam assembly also includes a cam follower which displaces the cutting wheel sidewardly away from the blank key on the return pass.
