  • Patent number: 11320164
Abstract: Computer program products, devices, systems, and operations for early detection of poor performance and failure of a climate control system. The invention provides operations for computing an actual run time percentage (ART) from operational data of the climate control system, and operations for computing an estimated run time percentage (ERT) of the climate control system from temperature data of an uncontrolled climate. The invention also provides operations for issuing one or more alerts if the ART deviates from the ERT or a range thereof.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 24, 2021
Date of Patent: May 3, 2022
    Assignee: Roth Technologies, LLC
    Inventor: Ronald B. Roth
  • Patent number: 11248817
Abstract: The present disclosure is for a continuous monitoring system for early failure detection in HVAC systems. Specifically, the inventive system monitors input and output temperatures, receives HVAC operation data, and computes Delta T values and other values. With the data that is received and computed, the inventive system computes statistical variance and automatically generates alerts which are transferred remotely.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 1, 2019
Date of Patent: February 15, 2022

  • Patent number: 6841214
Abstract: A novel composite microtubing with variable stiffness over the length of the tubing and continuous process for manufacturing the same is provided. By removing portions of one or more selected layers of the composite microtubing, varying the pick count of a braided layer, and changing the diameter over the length of the microtubing, the stiffness of the microtubing may be varied by a factor of 100 from proximal end to distal end. The continuous process allows a predetermined stiffness pattern to be repeated over a measured length for economical manufacture and results, if desired, in tubing of extremely small diameter and extremely thin tube walls.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 7, 1995
Date of Patent: January 11, 2005
    Assignee: MedSource Trenton, Inc.

  • Patent number: 6323413
Abstract: A novel microtubing and a method of manufacture is provided. The resulting microtubing has at least two thermoelements separated by a resin layer except in defined areas where the insulating resin layer is selectively removed. The resulting microtube provides improved performance, reduced size, increased flexibility, and can be efficiently manufactured.

  • Patent number: 4439003
Abstract: An opto-mechanical scanning system in which a counterbalancing mechanism is placed in a remote location from and on a different plane than the scanning mirror, thereby minimizing the effect of system spatial constraints which would normally preclude adequate counterweighting.
