  • Patent number: 10889084
Abstract: An apparatus is described. The apparatus includes a first portion having a first material and a first interface surface. A second portion having a second material that is different than the first material is included. The second portion has a second interface surface that is connected to the first interface surface of the first portion. A method of manufacturing an apparatus is described. The method includes adhering a first portion of the apparatus to a second portion of the apparatus to create a combined portion. After adhering the first portion of the apparatus to the second portion of the apparatus to create the combined portion, the combined portion of the apparatus is treated.

  • Patent number: 9105986
Abstract: Multi-antenna systems, including mobile devices having multiple antennas, are provided herein. A first antenna and a second antenna are operable at two or more of the same non-overlapping communication frequency bands. The first antenna and the second antenna are closely spaced and have different fundamental modes of operation such that the first antenna and second antenna are substantially isolated at the two or more non-overlapping communication frequency bands. The first antenna and second antenna having different fundamental modes can be a linear antenna, such as a monopole, dipole, PIFA, or PILA, and an aperture antenna, such as a slot or loop antenna.

  • Patent number: 7754198
Abstract: A translucent-to-clear, plasticized PVC thermoplastic polymeric matrix gel composition comprising (i) a high loading of fragrance composition and/or odor counteractant(s)—preferably greater than about 85%; (ii) from about 4% to about 25% of a plastisol with a Shore hardness of from about 60 to about 95 that is liquid at room temperature; and, optionally, (iii) an evaporation/firmness controlling agent. The high loading of fragrance and/or odor counteractants in the polymeric matrix gel composition of the invention provides a desired aroma to an environment in a persistent manner over an extended period of time.

  • Patent number: 5523540
Abstract: Welding electrodes useful for gas metal-arc welding of low carbon steels such as HSLA and HY steels are provided. Those welding electrodes have a carbon content of up to about 0.05 weight percent, and form weld deposits with a low carbon bainitic ferrite microstructure and yield strength in excess of 80 ksi. More particularly, the welding electrodes have the following elemental composition ranges: 0.01 to 0.05 wt. % carbon, 0.7 to 1.8 wt. % manganese, 0.2 to 0.4 wt. % silicon, 1.0 to 9.0 wt. % nickel, up to 0.8 wt. % chromium, 0.4 to 1.5 wt. % molybdenum, up to 1.0 wt. % copper, up to 0.03 wt. % titanium, and up to 0.035 wt. % aluminum. The weld deposits resulting from those welding electrodes resist hydrogen induced cracking and may be used for welding naval hull materials without substantial preheating.
