  • Patent number: 5297702
Abstract: A device for dispensing a viscous material from a container having an outlet on the bottom thereof, including a standing frame with a base capable of supporting the container of viscous material. The device is portable and contains two side members which support a cross member. A drive lever is pivotally mounted to the cross member. As the drive lever is rotated downward, a rectangular actuating member attached thereto contacts a gripping plate which, in turn, locks onto a drive rod. The gripping plate is rectangular in shape with an extended contact surface. The device employs an angular member which serves to maintain the gripping plate in a canted position in order to facilitate contact with the actuating member. The drive rod moves downward, forcing a drive plate attached thereto to move downward against a seal member, thereby creating a reasonably tight seal between the seal member and the inner wall of the container, positioned within the frame.

  • Patent number: 4795062
Abstract: A bag-like container which comprises first and second flexible wall members. Edge portions of the flexible wall members are attached together, and a spout having an annular body and an outstanding annular flange at an end of the body is attached to one of the wall members. Slots in the annular body parallel to the annular flange and spaced therefrom support a slideably mounted closure plate member. A tongue is mounted on the closure plate member. The tongue moves in openings in opposed sides of the spout body between a closed position in which the tongue closes the spout body and an open position.

  • Patent number: 4739903
Abstract: A device for dispensing plastic material from a bag-like container. A case surrounds the bag-like container. An opening in a wall of the case receives the spout of the bag-like container. A panel of the case is releasable and can be urged along the case while bearing on the bag-like container to cause discharge of contents of the bag-like container through the spout.

  • Patent number: 4722457
Abstract: A machine for causing discharge of plastic material from a bag-like container having flexible walls. The machine includes a first plate-like member pivotally mounted on the framework and a second plate-like member pivotally mounted on the framework. A spring urges the plate-like members together to grip the bag-like container therebetween. A free edge of the second plate-like member is urged toward the first plate-like member to squeeze the bag-like container. A spout receives contents of the bag-like container as the bag-like container is squeezed.
