  • Patent number: 5537686
Abstract: A new extended coverage anti-G suit combines a new continuous lower body pressure bladder with a nonextensible outer covering. The continuous lower body pressure bladder includes an abdominal bladder section and a pair of wrap-around leg bladder sections. Each leg bladder sections overlaps slightly at the inseam. A trouser-shaped nonextensible outer covering covers the pressure bladder and restrains its expansion when the pressure bladder is inflated. A pair of pressure socks worn between regular socks and boots interconnects with the pressure bladder.

  • Patent number: 5072620
Abstract: A stamping tool for use in an auto-indexable tool station having a number of character inserts that can be rotatably moved below a striker area so that a thin metal plate or sheet of metal may be marked. The stamping tool allows for automatic adjustment of tool length for any variation in material thickness. A pneumatic cylinder actuates a mechanism that engages the key way in the head nut. The tool length is changed by the rotary motion of the auto-indexable tool station. The character housing is rotated by the indexable tool station through the punch key which moves the selected character insert to the striker area within the tool. The striker area causes the character insert which is spring biased to protrude lower than the character inserts that are not in the striker area. When the stamping tool is struck by the ram, only the character insert in the striker area will contact the material to be marked.

  • Patent number: 5048385
Abstract: A punch assembly which may be provided at a punching station in a turret punch press. The punch assembly includes a striker body having a solid portion, and a punch carrier which carries a plurality of individual punches. A selectively actuable stop holds the striker body stationary, allowing the punch holder to be rotated so that a predetermined one of the plurality of punches will underlie the solid portion of the striker body. Afterwards, the entire punch assembly may be rotated to a variety of angular orientations. At any of these orientations, the ram may be actuated to cause the punch to extend downwardly below the punch assembly and through a sheet of material. The rotation of the punch assembly to different orientations allows a single punch to be used to punch holes of the shape but with differing angular orientations. The die holder receives a plurality of corresponding dies having openings therein corresponding to the punches.

  • Patent number: 4658688
Abstract: A punch press having multiple punch tool rotatable turrets wherein at least one of the punch tools on each of upper and lower turrets is indexable to different angular orientations. Rotation of the indexable punch tools is accomplished by a slideably mounted motor for engagement with a timing pulley, which through a timing belt and a harmonic gear drive, acts to rotate the punch tools. A brake and position sensors are also provided. Synchronization of punch and die orientation is achieved through servos and control.

  • Patent number: 4516448
Abstract: A punch and ram assembly for a punch press which clamps a workpiece prior to punching with the same mechanism used to strip the workpiece from the punch as the punch is retracted. The elements of the clamping and stripping mechanism are carried and actuated by the ram and its motion. The invention allows for adjusting the clamping and stripping force.

  • Patent number: 4362731
Abstract: The myotonolytic use of compounds of formula I ##STR1## wherein R is hydrogen, acetyl or a group of formula IIR'--O--CO-- IIwherein R' is alkyl(C.sub.1-8); phenyl; phenyl substituted in the 4-position with halogen, alkoxy(C.sub.1-4) or alkyl(C.sub.1-4); phenylalkyl; or phenylalkyl in which the phenyl group is substituted in the 4-position with halogen, alkoxy(C.sub.1-4) or alkyl(C.sub.1-4).
