  • Publication number: 20180038405
Abstract: A connection assembly including a grommet of hollow construction adapted to be retained within a retaining panel structure for attachment to a substructure. The grommet includes an upper collar and a lower collar disposed in spaced-apart relation. An axial bore extends through the grommet. Anti-rotation elements may be disposed between the upper and lower collars. The anti-rotation elements lock the grommet against rotational movement following insertion and rotation to a locking position within a complementary retaining panel opening. The grommet may carry variations of a compression limiter within the axial bore of the grommet and either an elongated fastener or a fastening nut may be secured in operative position with the grommet prior to shipment and installation.

  • Patent number: 9790974
Abstract: A connection assembly adapted for receipt of a male connection member at the interior of a grommet. The connection assembly includes a grommet of hollow construction including a first collar and a second non-circular collar disposed in spaced-apart relation from the first collar. An axial bore extends entirely through the grommet. A sleeve insert including a hollow stem extends into the axial bore so as to at least partially line the axial bore. A complementary retaining panel includes a substantially non-circular access opening adapted to receive the second collar in pass-through relation and to block the first collar against insertion. Upon rotation, the grommet is blocked against withdrawal through the access opening and the retaining panel is held securely in place.

  • Patent number: 4936259
Abstract: A comb having closely spaced rotatable teeth which can be mass produced in an efficient manner. The comb is composed of a handle having a recess formed therein for receiving a tooth holder portion in which the teeth are axially rotatably retained. The tooth holder portion is composed of two sections, each having axial halves of generally cylindrical bores formed thereon such that when the surfaces in which the bore halves are formed are brough into facially abutting engagement, and the sections are attached, teeth can be inserted into the bores formed therebetween and retained therein. Each tooth is formed with a generally rounded end which contacts the area to be groomed and an opposite end having an enlarged head portion formed thereon having a diameter generally larger than the diameter of the bore through which the tooth axially projects.

  • Patent number: 4116205
Abstract: A foldable hair brush includes a hollow elongated handle having an elongated opening therein for receiving a brush portion hingedly connected at one of its ends to the handle. A flange depends from the brush portion at one end thereof and extends between a bi-furcated end portion of the handle at which the brush portion is hingedly connected to the handle portion. A pin socket is connected to the distal end portion of the flange and hingedly receives a hinge pin connected across the bi-furcated end portion of the handle so that bristles extending from the brush portion can be moved from an open position through the elongated opening into the hollow interior of the handle for storage purposes. When the brush portion is disposed in a common plane with the handle portion for using the hair brush, the bi-furcated end portion provides great lateral stability for the unit.
