  • Patent number: 6456067
Abstract: A product sensor system for use in a refreshment center configured to sense a number of metal product containers. The sensor device can comprise a support shelf mounted in the refreshment center, which holds the product containers. One or more sensor loops are arranged on the shelf below the product containers, and an analysis circuit is connected to the sensor loops to measure the changes in inductance at the sensor loop when product containers are removed from the refreshment center. A microprocessor compares the signals from the inductance sensing circuit with values stored in memory to determine the amount of product remaining.

  • Patent number: 5416474
Abstract: A communication network for providing communication between multiple sources and multiple destinations includes a source selector (34; 70, 72; 90, 98) having a plurality of input terminals (22) for connection to respective sources (30), at least one output terminal (20; 100), and crosspoint elements (38; 80, 82; 92, 98) for connecting any selected set of the input terminals to the output terminal. A destination selector (18; 100) has at least one input terminal (20) connected to the output terminal of the source selector, a plurality of output terminals (24) for connection to respective destinations (30), and crosspoint elements (28; 102) for connecting the input terminal of the destination selector to any selected set of the output terminals of the destination selector.

  • Patent number: 4278841
Abstract: A plurality of detector units are positioned to sense the refrigerated air temperature of a refrigerated air supply to a retail frozen food case or counter. The detector units are battery powered and supply a modulated radio frequency output reflecting the existence of a temperature condition integrated over time together with identification codes identifying a particular detector unit. A receiver unit receives the transmitted radio frequency signal, demodulates and decodes the signal, and supplies an output to an alarm unit. The alarm unit develops the alarm signal and supplies it to an indicator, as well as to an external alarm circuit which is a phone dialer which automatically dials a phone number in an external telephone system. In addition, the detector unit periodically generates an operational check signal which is also transmitted to and decoded by the receiver unit and supplied to the alarm unit. The alarm unit indicates the existence of the operational check signal.

  • Patent number: 4252395
Abstract: Terminal apparatus comprised of an interconnecting terminal and an insulated base complementary to the terminal. The terminal includes a center section providing an electrical connection. The center section which includes slot-type termination devices is connected to an electrical conductor held within a support channel on the base, by moving the center section and the base together in a linear direction. The outer sections of the terminal are left in an angled position. In making subsequent connections to other electrical conductors held on the base, the ends of the outer sections are moved downward in a pivoting fashion. Slot-type termination devices on the outer sections engage the respective conductors.

  • Patent number: 4103268
Abstract: A dual coil bobbin assembly adapted for use in the manufacture of coil elements for telephone receivers comprising two spool like sections joined by a flexible hinge and adapted to have the bobbins of each coil positioned axi-symmetrically on a temporary basis whereby both coils maybe mechanically wound on the bobbin assemblies. After winding is completed the coils may be repositioned with each bobbin parallel and in appropriate position for mounting in a telephone receiver assembly.

  • Patent number: 3982809
Abstract: A cord adapter for retrofitting or adapting a conventional telephone line cord for use with a miniature plug and jack assembly, the cord adapter being of a construction such that no tools are required to install it.The cord adapter will accommodate from one to six conductors and requires only that the spade terminals on the conductors be bent into a U-shaped configuration prior to installation into the plug portion of the adapter. A slot is molded into the plug body for retaining the line cord holder, which slot also functions as a bending fixture for bending the spade terminals on the ends of the conductors of the line cord. A plastic cover is provided for covering and retaining the connections. The cover furthermore helps retain the telephone line cord. The construction of the plug portion of the cord adapter and the cover is such that the cover can be attached to the plug portion without the need of any tools.

  • Patent number: 3950054
Abstract: A generally U-shaped adapter bracket is disclosed for use in converting a conventional surface mounted telephone connecting block into a connecting block having a cover which includes a jack for receiving a plug-ended line cord. The adapter bracket includes a plurality of apertures in its rear surface to provide capability of using it with various conventional connecting blocks. Communicating passageways from the edge of the bracket to the apertures are provided to allow installation of the bracket over a connecting block without removing the connecting block from its wall-mounted position.
