  • Patent number: 8335471
Abstract: Systems and methods for channel pairing a transmitter and a receiver are provided. In this regard, a representative method, among others, includes selecting a channel in a radio frequency (RF) band; transmitting a carrier and alert tone on the selected channel in the RF band; responsive to detecting the transmitted carrier and alert tone, demodulating the carrier and alert tone on the selected channel in the RF band and producing the demodulated alert tone; and responsive to detecting the produced alert tone, using the selected channel to establish a wireless link between the transmitter and receiver.

  • Publication number: 20110205114
Abstract: A representative radio frequency (RF) receiver comprises an RF section that receives RF signals. Such RF signals include more than one global navigation satellite system (GNSS) signals, which include at least one of the following: global positioning system (GPS) signals, Galileo signals and Glonass signals. A mixer and converter section receives the RF signals from the RF section and includes a band stop filter and a harmonic reject mixer that facilitate detecting more than one GNSS signals from the RF signals. An intermediate frequency section amplifies and selects the detected more than one GNSS signals.
