    Abstract: A rotary displacement pump including an external member or housing having inlet and outlet channels and a cavity. The pump also includes an internal member or housing having a shell with an inlet opening and an outlet opening therein, the shell being received in the cavity so that the inlet opening and the outlet opening is aligned with the inlet and outlet channels. Further included is a fluid drive member received within the shell for moving fluid from the inlet to outlet channels. The inlet opening and the outlet opening in the shell define fluid flow transition regions.
