  • Publication number: 20130125664
Abstract: Wireless flow monitoring devices are described. In one example, a device to wirelessly monitor a flow of material is described that includes a housing having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, the second surface having an aperture, a lever secured within the housing to move in response to the flow of material, and a paddle arm forming at least a portion of a first arm of the lever, where an end of the paddle arm extends out the aperture of the second surface of the housing, and where a paddle is affixed to the paddle arm to be positioned within the flow of material.

  • Publication number: 20130049984
Abstract: Wireless monitoring systems for use with pressure safety devices are described. An example wireless monitoring system includes a field device and a wireless transceiver coupled to the field device to receive a signal generated by the field device. The wireless transceiver has a self-contained power module. A wireless interface is communicatively coupled to the wireless transceiver without an interposing intrinsically safe barrier panel. The wireless interface wirelessly receives the signal from the wireless transceiver.

  • Publication number: 20130042933
Abstract: Methods and apparatus to determine a position of a valve are disclosed. An example apparatus disclosed herein includes a rotary valve assembly and a visual indicator assembly coupled to the rotary valve assembly to indicate a position of a fluid control member of the rotary valve assembly. The visual indicator assembly includes a follower and a shell surrounding the follower. A position of the follower is to correspond to the position of the fluid control member. The example apparatus further includes an electronic position monitor coupled to the shell to determine valve position information based on the position of the follower.
