Abstract: A method for lawful interception of communication related information is disclosed. In the preferred embodiment, the method includes detecting the occurrence of an event in a packet data network. The method also includes collecting communication related information of a communication in the packet data network in response to the detection of the event based at least in part on the detected event and providing the collected communication related information to one or more law enforcement agencies.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for extracting and reporting communication associated information of communications between a subject and an associate. This is achieved by populating an application identifier in the Network Layer 3, which the access networks examine in order to route the packets appropriately, and, thereby, allowing the access networks to isolate and extract the communication associated information. The access networks extract the call associated information and report the same to the Law Enforcement Agencies. Delivery to the LEAs of communication associated information may also be optimized.

Abstract: A machine, method, and necessary data intermediates produced thereby, for making a sale of a financial product by computers interacting over an Internet-type network. One computer (preferably at a virtual financial/insurance company), communicates with a person's computer to determine a financial need of the person. The interacting can include: associating a financial product with the need; disclosing the cost of the financial product to the person; and automatically triggering delivery of the financial product. A wide range of financial products are supported, particularly investments and insurance.

Abstract: An apparatus, system and method for call forwarding when roaming from a first type network, such as an ANSI-41 cellular network, to a second type network, such as a GSM cellular network. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a signaling message converter signals an originating MSC in a local communication system to redirect a call when a terminating foreign MSC cannot terminate the call due to predetermined circumstances.

Abstract: A computerized system for initiating, processing, preparing, storing, and transmitting illustrations of life insurance in conjunction with a mortgage, the illustrations being devoid of a cost containment clause. A computer accesses a database into which data is written and from which data is read, the data including information regarding the life to be insured, general applicant information, insurance information, mortgage information, and predetermined text data for incorporation into insurance illustrations. The computer is operable by connecting to the database and at least one PC, including input and display apparatus, to permit data to be entered in and retrieved from the database. The computer is also provided with the capability of merging entered or stored data with the predetermined text data to compile the data and text into output embodying an illustration of life insurance in conjunction with a mortgage for the home buyer.
