  • Publication number: 20090279253
Abstract: A cooling configuration is provided for chassis-mounted electronics boards. In one embodiment, the chassis comprises a housing and at least two electronics boards. The electronics boards may comprise communication boards having a plurality of ports. Cooling air spaces are defined above and below each board, permitting cooling air to be drawn over both sides of each board. Baffles may be provided at both sides of the boards for controlling the flow of air through the various air spaces, such as baffles extending down from a top of the housing or up from a bottom of the housing, or baffles located between the boards.

  • Patent number: 7029172
Abstract: Apparatus for determining the temperature profile of the surface being sprayed or otherwise treated, the apparatus comprising four electric arc spray guns (1) spraying molten steel. The guns (1) are connected to a six-axis industrial robot (2) which is adapted to move them over the surface of the ceramic substrate (3). The metal deposited by the spray builds up a metal shell referred to as the sprayform. The temperature profile of the sprayform surface (3) is recorded periodically by a thermal imaging camera (4) positioned directly above the surface (3). The apparatus includes a pruning filter for receiving each pixel of an image captured by the camera (4) and for applying at least a lower temperature limit to it so as to reject or disregard any pixels determined to have a temperature less than the lower temperature limit.

When the field of view of the camera (4) is not obscured by the robot (2), the arc spray guns (1) or their cables (5), the thermal image of the whole sprayform surface (3) can be recorded.

  • Patent number: 6434946
Abstract: An article assembly comprising a plurality of members includes a multi-layered brazed joint provided in the assembly between a first member that can be affected adversely by thermal exposure at a limiting and a second member requiring exposure, such as for brazing, at least at the limiting temperature. The assembly is provided with a multi-layered brazed joint directly or indirectly between such members by brazing to the second member a second brazing alloy that can be brazed at a temperature required to braze the second member, providing a preform. The assembly is brazed to include the first member by brazing members of the assembly together with a first brazing alloy, brazing at a temperature less than the limiting temperature, brazed at the second brazing alloy.

  • Patent number: 4676729
Abstract: The roofing module of the present invention is comprised of a sheet of thermoplastic material which has opposed side margins that are bent upwardly at 90.degree. with respect to the body of the sheet to provide joinder tabs. The module is formed by transporting a flat sheet of the material between a pair of inwardly-facing radiant heaters which are focused on a line which the sheet will be bent about in order to soften the sheet along that line. After the sheet is softened along the fold line it is transported through a bending section comprised of a series of die rollers which cause the margin to progressively be bent upwardly to the desired orientation.
