    Abstract: A wheel chair including a frame, at least three wheels, a drive mechanism and a single lever control mechanism. The drive mechanism includes a prime mover mechanism and a selective engagement mechanism. The frame is supported by the wheels. The single lever control mechanism is connected to the selective engagement mechanism. The selective engagement mechanism is connected to the prime mover mechanism. The selective engagement mechanism is adapted to selectively transfer power from the prime mover mechanism into forward and reverse movement of at least one of the wheels of the wheel chair.
