  • Patent number: 6192646
Abstract: System for covering or cladding poles, columns and utility structures. Pairs of vertically-oriented frame members are attached to a column or pole by a supporting bracket mechanism, or directly on a utility structure, such as a gasoline pump. Semi-circular panel members are positioned between adjacent frame members and/or around a pole or column. With column and pole cladding systems, top cap members can be provided adjacent canopy or ceiling structures to allow for thermal expansion and contraction. The panel members are shipped and packaged in flat condition and bent into their final semi-circular shapes at the installation site. Retainer clip members, tab members or pin members are attached to the edges of the panel members in order to hold them securely in place in the frame members. Trim cap members can be provided to cover the frame members and secure the edges of the panels securely in place in the frame member.

  • Patent number: 5938365
Abstract: A tubular frame having a plurality of tubular members and a backing member. The tubular members are held together by round corner members. The corner members have hollow tubular insertion members or legs at one end and "X" or "cross-shaped" insertion members or legs at the other end in order to mate with adjacent tubular frame members. The two insertion members are adapted to be joined to a tubular member in only certain orientations which assists in manufacturing and assembly. The tubular frame members also have elongated channels on one side for mating with the backing member.

  • Patent number: 5930928
Abstract: A front-loading poster display device with a plurality of poster frame sections positioned around and connected to a backing member. Each of the frame sections have a base member affixed to the backing member and a spring-biased cover member rotatably attached to the base member. The ends of the frame sections are mitered at 45.degree. angles. The backing member is preferably connected to the base members of each of the frame sections by "Tog-L-Locs" or other sheet metal joining mechanisms. The ball-type pintle formations in each of the hinge mechanisms connecting the base and cover members together can have one or more elongated slots or recesses therein.

  • Patent number: 5915656
Abstract: A floor stand device made primarily of modular components and used for displaying pictures, posters, and other display materials. A frame assembly is supported on a horizontal support assembly which is connected to a vertical support member and in turn to a base member. The horizontal support assembly includes a center support member, a pair of horizontal support members, and a pair of L-shaped side support members. Preferably, the parts are sized to be press-fit and secured together. Fasteners positioned through the frame assembly members into the horizontal support assembly and optionally into the side support members, retain the floor stand device together.

  • Patent number: 5875578
Abstract: A portable sign stand with rollers and an adjustable weighted base. The base member has one or more compartments so that liquid or solid ballast can be added to stabilize the sign stand in windy conditions. Wheels are provided on one edge of the base member in order to allow the sign stand to be rolled and easily moved to different positions. The axle member for the wheels is held in place on the base member by a bracket member which also helps secure the sign member to the base member. A pair of springs, resilient members, or the like can be used to connect the sign member to the base in order to provide a better wind-resistant sign stand.

  • Patent number: 5076736
Abstract: An improved display apparatus includes at least two elongated frame members arranged with ends thereof disposed generally adjacent one another in order to define an angulated frame corner configuration. Such frame members include elongated channel portions thereon, and an improved corner assembly according to the present invention includes a corner insert insertable between the generally adjacent ends of the frame members, and a corner key member for reinforcing and securely supporting the corner insert. The corner insert is attached to the corner key member, and the corner key member is attached to the frame members. The corner key member is preferably a continuous member, having a pair of corner legs disposed at an angulated relationship with one another, with each of the corner legs being receivable within the channel portion on one of the frame members and extending longitudinally therein.

  • Patent number: 4696136
Abstract: The simulated pipeline construction gives the outward appearance of an actual plumbing pipeline but without the weight or expense. The pipeline is constructed using a pair of parallel mounting rails which hold one or more outwardly bowed flexible plastic panels. One-piece plastic corner members are used to simulate a pipeline extending around a corner of a building, and one-piece plastic end caps are used to simulate an actual plumbing end cap. The corner members and end caps are also inserted into the channels of the mounting rails.

  • Patent number: 4691892
Abstract: An improved warning sign and sign stand assembly is disclosed and includes apparatus for attaching and retaining the sign to a stand member of the assembly. The various embodiments of the assembly also include various mechanisms for permitting the sign panel to pivot or swing under side-directed loads in order to allow a resilient portion of the stand base to deflect generally along a predetermined plane, thereby substantially preventing the sign and stand assembly from tipping over. The various embodiments are applicable in sign and sign stand assemblies equipped with provisions for selectively collapsing the entire assemblies into compact and conveniently stored configurations, as well as being applicable in assemblies not so equipped.
