  • Patent number: 5375509
Abstract: The present invention discloses and provides a dough preparation and dividing machine capable of receiving substantially spherical, filled encrusted dough balls and forming them, with a minimum of dough working, into flattened, "D"-shaped configurations to increase the output of a conventional encrusting and co-extruding device for filled, encrusted dough ball products.

  • Patent number: 5165385
Abstract: A barbecue grill assembly is disclosed including a bowl and domed, free-standing lid mating with each other to form a three-dimensional oval in combination, a support assembly being provided for the bowl with the brackets mounted on a portion of the barbecue grill assembly in spaced apart relation less than a corresponding dimension of the lid with extended surfaces and stops for causing the lid to move horizontally along the extended bracket surfaces and then rotate into a generally vertical position in cradled engagement with the brackets, an ash collector unit including vent means being suspended beneath a central portion of the bowl.

  • Patent number: 5154159
Abstract: A portable barbecue cooker for use without solvent ignition means or impregnated charcoal briquets. A turbo air blower communicates with ignited briquets through a distributive port plenum chamber and brings ignited briquets to operating temperature rapidly. A vertically and rotationally movable elevator brings the briquets, at operating temperature, to the char grill, and by conveying rotary movement to the char grill, distributes the briquets evenly thereupon. The elevator engages the char grill for vertical movement and for variable spacing with respect to the cook grill. The char grill is equipped with a support cage and plough blades which rotate with the char grill to move ashes from the cooker bowl bottom for transport to an ash collector. Either paper kindling or piezoelectric means provide initial ignition for the briquets in an ignition chamber.

  • Patent number: 5016607
Abstract: A barbecue grill assembly is disclosed including a bowl and domed, free-standing lid mating with each other to form a three-dimensional oval in combination, handles and movable shelves being supported on opposite ends of the bowl by leg assemblies secured to the bowl by saddles, brackets being mounted on the leg assemblies in spaced apart relation less than a corresponding dimension of the lid with extended surfaces and stops for causing the lid to move horizontally along the extended bracket surfaces and then rotate into a generally vertical position in cradled engagement with the brackets, an ash collector unit including vent means being suspended beneath a central portion of the bowl.

  • Patent number: 4882917
Abstract: A wash additive combination is provided which is loaded into a washing machine at the start of a wash cycle, and which releases a wash additive, such as a fabric softener, into the rinse solution. The combination comprises a wash additive packet of a foam substrate material having a first and a second stable conformation of differing surface area, and a wash additive deposited thereon. A dispenser is provided for mounting atop a washing machine agitator, and into which the packet may be releasably placed, after arranging the packet in its lesser surface area conformation. The packet is retained by the dispenser during initial phases of the wash cycle, and ejected during the spin phase, whereupon it regains its greater surface area conformation for rapid and complete dispersion of active. Embodiments are provided for dual, sequential release of active in the rinse and the dryer.

  • Patent number: 4760904
Abstract: Apparatus for limiting torque to a drive line upon rotation in one direction. A rotor is connected to a rotational device within a housing selectively connected to a control for a source of rotational force for operation and cessation thereof. The rotor has a pivoted pawl which mates with an elongated groove in the housing. The pivoted pawl freely pivots in one of two directions but is prevented, by a pin, from rotating in the other direction. A small compression spring on each side of the pawl causes the pawl to re-center in the groove and permits the housing dimensions to be halved as compared to those accomodating a single, high force spring. The rotor has a pair of cam surfaces which contact a plurality of spring loaded push rods in the housing. In operation, the rotor and the housing rotate together about a common axis in either direction. However, when torque loading is imposed during rotation in a first direction, the pawl pivots and moves out of engagement with the housing groove.

  • Patent number: 4475714
Abstract: A grand piano lift comprising a dolly on which the piano is placed and having a hydraulic cylinder fixed in vertical disposition to the dolly in the vicinity of each of the three legs of the piano. A piston is slidably disposed in each of the cylinders and has a piston rod extending from the piston fixed to a pedestal that contacts the floor or platform from which the piano is to be supported. An operator operated UP switch is electrically connected with a source of hydraulic fluid under pressure so that the operator can cause fluid to be applied to the cylinders from the source and so that the cylinders are effective to raise the dolly and piano. A similar DOWN switch causes this fluid to be drained from the cylinders to cause the piano to be lowered.

  • Patent number: 4462296
Abstract: A drumstick having a handle portion that is sanded to produce circumferentially extending sanding scratches and ridges for rendering the handle portion relatively non-slippable in the hand of the musician. The tapered portion of the drumstick on which the striking bead is formed or mounted and also the butt end of the stick having a coating of polyurethane to render them capable of taking drum or cymbal striking contact without damage and to seal these parts against moisture. The handle portion after sanding to produce the sanding scratches and ridges has a relatively thin coating of water repellent on it that will allow the musician to feel the sanding ridges while also sealing the handle portion against moisture.
