  • Patent number: 5148173
Abstract: A millimeter wave screening cloud is formed comprised of an aerosol of fine ibers of a carbon composition, in which the particles are of micron diameter and millimeter length. The cloud is formed by aerosolizing a compact mass of carbon composition fibers through the action of explosively bursting such compact mass in the atmosphere at the desired cloud location.

  • Patent number: H775
Abstract: A minimum hazard visual screening cloud-forming product is made by forming slurry of fine spheres of titanium dioxide composition, of submicron diameter, together with a volatile surface-wetting agent liquid, in the form of a liquid hydrocarbon, extruding and severing the extended slurry mass into a desired container shape, in particular, a hollow cylindrical shape, and drying the mass. An HE explosive mass is inserted into the resulting compacted hollow cylinder, enabling bursting of the compacted mass.

  • Patent number: H1009
Abstract: A smoke grenade system for use on an armored vehicle. This system includes vehicle having a body and a turret, launching tubes mounted on the two sides of the turret, a first switch for expelling a first salvo of smoke grenades and a second switch for expelling a second salvo of smoke grenades. Each switch actuates one-half of the launching tubes on one side of the vehicle plus one-half of the launching tubes on the other side of the vehicle.
