The multi-row box connector includes first and second insulative housing members each having thin metallic films deposited on the internal and external sidewalls thereof, respectively, to form the continuous ground planes. The thin metallic films may be deposited on respective housing members by sputtering. Patent number: 4224591Abstract: A motor protector has a thermally responsive contact element mounted inside a flat, rectangular, open-ended metal can. A metal cover mounts a complementary contact and is secured over the open end of the can by can flanges to clamp an electrically insulating gasket between the can and cover. The contact means close a circuit between the can and cover but the thermally responsive contact element is movable in response to increase in temperature for opening that circuit. Integral crimpable terminals are provided on the can and cover. A flat metal heater ribbon having an insulating coating thereon has one end welded to the exterior of the can. The ribbon coating is deformed at selected locations and the coated ribbon is folded at those locations to fit closely against the three exterior sides of the flat rectangular can. A movable contact affixed to the end of a snap-acting bimetal member is positioned to make or break contact with the stationary contact. This other end of the heater is also welded to the bimetallic member. The can and lids incorporate terminals. Patent number: 3936792Abstract: A circuit breaker device which is particularly useful with direct current such as in an automotive application comprises a main creep-acting thermostatic strip member mounted on a second auxiliary U-shaped thermostatic member, the U-shaped member being attached to the strip with the high and low expansion layers being dissimilar or reversed in order to obtain increased contact force prior to actuation and faster contact opening and in effect, greater differential after actuation. One leg of the U-shaped thermostatic member is mounted on a base plate, the other leg cantilever mounts the thermostatic strip. A contact is located on the free distal end of the thermostatic strip and is adapted to move into and out of engagement with a stationary contact supported on the base plate but electrically insulated therefrom.
