  • Publication number: 20210156504
Abstract: Disclosed is a pulsation dampening system for high-pressure (e.g., 10K psi and higher) fluid lines. At high fluid flow pressures, the dampening system is a dual stage dampening system, responsive to low (e.g., when first charging the fluid line) and to very high-pressure pulsations. An external containment shell handles the full fluid flow pressures. One or more internal shells contain and handle the internal gas dampening system. The in-flow relationship of the gas dampening component assures that pressure differences between the internal gas handling system and the high-pressure fluid flow is always relatively small. This enables the gas handling components to be constructed of less robust material than the external shell (even though the gas system's internal pressure can equal that of the fluid flow), and be less susceptible to pressure failure.

  • Publication number: 20170328023
Abstract: Disclosed is a rapidly deployable, above grade, low-thermal conducting, grillage-type foundation system made of composite materials, and erectable at or above grade for supporting structures like equipment shelters and communication masts. These units include generator sheds, communication shelters, fuel tanks, radio masts, and the like. The foundation system has one or more layers of beams laid at right angles to each other, and is used to disperse heavy point loads of a superstructure to an acceptable ground bearing pressure. Web stiffeners were affixed to foundation beams and vertical support members were fixed to the upper surface of the foundation beams, to stiffen the foundation and structure at every footing. The foundation is adapted to be installed with little site preparation, is easily transportable with a medium lift helicopter. Essentially, the foundation was engineered to only use steel in its assembly for the metal feet, angles, plates and the like.

  • Patent number: 7814856
Abstract: A deep water operations system includes a submersible vessel including a propulsion system for operating the vessel on and beneath the surface of a body of water. The vessel will operate on the water surface to travel to a designated site and then submerge beneath the surface to a depth sufficient to avoid surface wave and weather conditions. A surface power buoy is deployable from the vessel at the water surface and connected to the vessel by an umbilical cord and includes a propulsion system, RF vessel communication and a GPS receiver. An ROV launch cage is supported by the vessel by a second umbilical cord and stores and deploys an ROV remotely controlled from the vessel for deep water work and repair activities via the second umbilical cord.

  • Publication number: 20090060654
Abstract: The lid stabilizing apparatus is principally directed to a structure which will resist a force on a lid which will tend to dislodge the lid from the structure which it covers. Of particular interest is the lid covering municipal water valve structures where such lids are repeatedly struck by vehicular traffic and are dislodged and thrown into the street. The downwardly extending rod with stabilizing and, where desired, n-stabilizing disks, will be in friction or near friction contact with the pipe which is upwardly directed from a valve accessed from the street surface. This friction or near friction contact will resist the dislodging of the valve lid.
