Abstract: A vented cap for a pressurized fluid conduit includes a cap body defining a generally cylindrical inner cavity, a mouth, an end wall positioned so as to close the inner cavity, a plurality of threads extending generally from the mouth toward the end wall, and at least one lug member on an outer surface of the cap and having a vent slot extending along a lengthwise interior so that the slot has a first end beginning at the mouth and a second end spaced apart from the end wall and extends inwardly from the lug member toward the inner cavity through the plurality of threads so as to open into the inner cavity, and a gasket having a circumference complementary to the periphery of the inner cavity, the gasket positioned between the plurality of threads and the end wall abuttingly contacting the sidewall and the end wall.
