  • Publication number: 20090040971
Abstract: A communication system (10) receiving a communication signal from a far communication system (12) has a channel selector, and a number of local transceivers (22) forming a first broadcast array and a second channel searching array. The first broadcast array is configured to receive the communication signal and transmit a local communication signal on channels. Each local transceiver is connected to a controller (32). The controller is configured to remove noise from the far communication signal. The noise includes interference from the local transceivers being received on the channel. The controller measures a parameter of at Least one of the channels. The controller determines an availability of one or some channels using the second channel searching array. The second channel searching array outputs an available channel signal to the controller.

  • Publication number: 20080079575
Abstract: A radio frequency identification (RFID) system and method for communication with at least one radio engine module (“REM”). The system and method including at least one radio engine module, where the at least one radio engine module has a signal generator for synthesizing radio frequency signals to be transmitted to one or more remote communication devices and a receiver for receiving radio frequency signals transmitted by one or more remote communication devices. The RFID system and method further include a controller that is separate from and in communication with the at least one radio engine module, which manages the transmission of information with the at least one radio engine module.

  • Publication number: 20080079547
Abstract: A method, system and apparatus for generating a cancellation signal in a RFID reader to isolate a transmit section and a receive section of a RFID reader, where the RFID reader generates a local reference signal from a broadcast transmit signal, receives a receive signal from a remote device, determines at least one correction factor, e.g., an amplitude correction factor, to generate a cancellation signal. The method, system and apparatus can further include combining a cancellation signal and a receive signal to minimize or cancel out interference and noise on the receive signal.
