    Abstract: Cane chopping apparatus for use in a sugar cane harvester comprises contra-rotating cane chopping elements at least one of which carries a cane feed member to assist the passage of cane in the desired manner. The cane feed member is formed of resilient material for example textile-reinforced rubber sheeting. This material improves the feeding action of the feed member and renders it less susceptible to damage.
