  • Publication number: 20170165596
Abstract: A filter connectable to a filter housing assembly. When the filter is disconnected from the filter housing assembly, a driven cover of the filter housing assembly is in a closed position preventing unfiltered fluid from flowing through an inlet of the assembly. When the filter is connected to the filter housing assembly, a filter bag ring of the filter moves the driven cover to an open position uncovering the inlet allowing filtered fluid to flow through the inlet.

  • Patent number: 9604856
Abstract: A filter cartridge for installation in a housing having a housing seat includes a filtration media compiled in a cylindrical pack having a radially outer face, a radially inner face defining a central cavity, a first axial end face, and a second axial end face. An end cap having an attachment portion is bonded and sealed to an axial end of the filtration media. A hub portion connects the attachment portion to a non-circular locking portion axially spaced from the attachment portion. The locking portion extends radially beyond the width of the hub portion and includes a sealing face having at least one annular sealing element for sealing against the housing seat.

  • Publication number: 20060201872
Abstract: A filter element for hydrocarbon emissions in, e.g., marine diesel engine applications, comprises a wound mat received within a filter bag. An annular end cap is bonded to one end of the wound mat, and is sealed around its periphery to a bag ring at the open end of the bag. The bag ring is then received and retained in a seat ring in the housing. The exhaust as stream from the engine is directed through an opening in the end cap and through the wound mat and bag for removal of hydrocarbons and contaminants.

  • Publication number: 20050284823
Abstract: A cooking oil filter element and method are characterized by a filter media having a needled nylon pre-filter media layer and a melt-blown nylon main filter layer. The filter media is pleated and configured in a cylindrical shape, and end caps are attached to the ends of the cylindrical filter media through use of an interlock structure that provides, in addition to an adhesive bond, a mechanical interlock between the end cap and the adhesive.
