Abstract: A system and method for graphically encoding text. A textual data set comprising a plurality of encoded text characters that corresponding to at least one text character to be visually rendered is received. Based on the textual data set, a drawing instruction set is determined that has a respective drawing instruction to draw at least part of a glyph of each of the encoded text characters. Each at least one drawing instruction excludes an indication of a correspondence with an associated text character code, and each respective at least one drawing instruction for a specified text character excludes instructions to repeat other drawing instructions for other instances of the specified text character.

Abstract: A method is provided for rendering pixels based on a certain type of Bézier curve, called a simple Bézier arch. The method uses an implicit function to determine whether each pixel in a domain triangle containing the arch is on the arch, on one side of the arch, or on the other side. The function's parameters can be linearly interpolated to allow efficient rendering of the triangle by a GPU. A method is also provided for applying the aforementioned method to render pixels, based on a non-linear Bézier curve having at most four control points, by subdividing the curve into simple Bézier arches as necessary. A computing device for performing these methods is also provided.

Abstract: A system and method for managing clinical documents and patient manifests at a datacenter comprising providing a processor and a memory operatively coupled thereto, receiving at least one update message at the processor, the at least one update message comprising at least one of: at least one new clinical document to be added to the memory, and instructions to delete at least one existing clinical document from the memory, updating the memory in accordance with the update message, determining whether to generate at least one new patient manifest based on predetermined criteria, the at least one patient manifest being indicative of the update performed, and generating the at least one patient manifest wherein when the processor determines that the at least one patient manifest should be generated.
