  • Patent number: 8122763
Abstract: A gas measurement apparatus can comprise a sensor and a processor, in an example. The sensor can measure a pressure condition of a gas tank, in an example. The processor can select at least one light source, the light source can be positioned or be of a distinct color to indicate a corresponding level of gas remaining in the tank when illuminated. The level of gas can be based on the measured pressure. Banks of high intensity LEDs can allow visually discernable colors at a significant distance underwater. A visual beacon mode can be included. An alphanumeric pressure readout mode can be included. A depth sensor can be included.

  • Publication number: 20020118102
Abstract: A boat security system based on two-way paging technology to allow immediate notification of any abnormal situations that the boat owner chooses to monitor. In response to an abnormal condition, affirmative action may be taken such as generating an audible alarm, disabling the boat, or enabling a tracking device. The system communicates alarm condition employing the ReFLEX™ two way paging technology and, when coupled to an alphanumeric pager, allowing for reporting of status conditions of the boat can be obtained. The basic embodiment includes a alarm functions for the bilge including bilge cycles, battery strength, door and hatch sensors, a shock sensor for detecting an impact such as dock line breakage.

  • Patent number: 5938140
Abstract: The instant invention is an improved multi-purpose dive reel which automates underwater line-handling. The improved multi-purpose dive reel includes an anti-fouling line control system that includes a flexible line wiper and line exit guide. The reel is manufactured using a high impact reinforced polymer construction which is lightweight, inexpensive and not effected by the often corrosive marine environment. The improved dive reel has an on/off spool lock switch and contoured smooth surface including a comfort grip containing a lanyard attachment loop. Optionally, the reel may further include a ratcheting spool lock switch, a luminous polymer pigment and a wave-washer spool tension control.
