  • Patent number: 6478465
Abstract: A multiwall bag having a fold closeable end combined with a peelable opening assembly adapted to be held within the folded closure, that when opened, provides a pour spout for dispensing of the contents of the package, and optionally, means for reclosing the bag after it has been opened.

  • Patent number: 6325541
Abstract: A resealable closure for a bag is described wherein the bag has upper and lower ends and including a front wall member, a back wall member, and opposite side wall members. The lower end of the bag is sealed in conventional fashion. The upper ends of the wall members are folded downwardly adjacent the front wall member to form a flap which extends across the upper end of the bag with the upper flap being permanently sealed, by an adhesive, to the front wall member except for a flap portion adjacent one of the side wall members. The resealable closure is positioned between the flap portion and the front wall of the bag and permits the flap portion to be opened to form a pour opening in the upper comer of the bag. The flap portion may be resealed by the resealable closure. The closure is designed so that the contents of the bag will not come into contact with any sticky or tacky surface as the material is being poured from the bag.

  • Patent number: 5553943
Abstract: A multiple ply open mouthed bag with a rectangular satchel bottom having a plurality of tubular paper plies enclosing a seamless inner plastic pouch capable of heat sealing and/or severance at said open mouth. The paper plies may be made capable of pinch, sewn, or other various closures at said open mouth. The plastic pouch being foldably, non-adhesively and detachably arranged at the satchel bottom of the bag. The satchel bottom being formed by the slitting, folding and overlapping of stepped paper plies adhesively bonded thereat to form the satchel bottom and to loosely retain said pouch independently and away from said adhesive bonding.

  • Patent number: 5281027
Abstract: A tubular bag blank has a plurality of outer contiguous non-heat sealable plies and an inner heat sealable plastic ply. All of the plies in the tubular blank are bonded together circumferentially around an open top end of the bag and are closed at the bottom end where only the non-heat sealable plies are bonded together. The inner heat sealable ply is freely folded and fully detachable in a non-adhesive manner at the bottom end of the bag. The inner plastic ply being heat sealable to closure at both bag ends. Upon heat sealing the bottom end, a plastic pouch is formed by the inner ply which may be heat sealed to closure at the open end when filled with a product or commodity and may be optionally severed thereat by compressive heat and pressure applied to the outer non-heat sealable plies. When fully packed, the outer paper plies may be stripped away leaving a sealed plastic pouch with the packaged contents therein ready for use by the purchaser.
