  • Publication number: 20240124130
Abstract: An actuator assembly includes an actuator drive source and a gust lock. The actuator drive source is operable to supply an actuator drive torque to drive a component. The gust lock is movable between a locked position, in which rotation of the drive source is prevented, and an unlocked position, in which rotation of the drive source is not prevented. The gust lock includes a lock shaft, a lock rotor, a lock motor, and a linear actuator. The lock shaft is rotatable with the drive source when the gust lock is in the unlocked position. The lock rotor is rotatable with the lock shaft. The lock motor is configured to supply a lock drive torque. The linear actuator is coupled to receive the lock drive torque and is configured, upon receipt of the lock drive torque, to move between an engaged position and a disengaged position.

  • Patent number: 8561848
Abstract: The inventive concept is directed to a caulking gun which has been extended for a considerable length. This extending of the length enables an impaired person to reach areas that need to be caulked. It also enables a person to reach remote areas that only can be reached by a ladder but the person cannot negotiate a ladder. The extension of the basic caulking gun is achieved by placing longitudinal rods between the trigger mechanism and the forward end where the caulking cartridge is normally located. It is important that rods are being used to keep the weight of the gun on a reasonable level. The rods have spaced apart rings in the longitudinal direction to stabilize the rods. At the trigger end of the caulking gun there is located a handle that can be changed in location to accommodate left- and -right handed persons.

  • Publication number: 20070214369
Abstract: A removable drive such as a USB drive or key is provided for connecting to computer devices to provide secure and portable data storage. The drive includes a drive manager adapted to be run by an operating system of the computer device. The drive manager receives a password, generates a random key based on the password, encrypts a user-selected data file in memory of the computer device using the key, and stores the encrypted file in the memory of the removable drive. The drive manager performs the encryption of the data file without corresponding encryption applications being previously loaded on the computer system. The drive manager may include an Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) cryptography algorithm. The drive manager generates a user interface that allows a user to enter passwords, select files for encryption and decryption, and create folders for storing the encrypted files on the removable drive.
