  • Patent number: 11954002
Abstract: Automatic storage system configuration for mediation services that includes: determining that a particular storage system of the storage systems is not configured to request mediation from a mediation target for mediation between storage systems synchronously replicating a dataset; requesting, by the particular storage system from a configuration service, configuration information indicating one or more service handles for a mediation service; and configuring, in dependence upon the one or more service handles received from the configuration service, a mediation handler to communicate with the mediation service responsive to detecting a communication fault with one of the storage systems.

  • Patent number: 6763443
Abstract: For an asynchronous memory control system, a system and method of interfacing the system with a synchronous memory device is provided. A first set of signals indicating an asynchronous memory operation from the control system and a first memory address associated with the asynchronous memory operation from the control system are received. Next, a second set of signals, a second memory address and at least one asynchronous clock pulse are generated, wherein the generated signals allowing processing of a comparable synchronous operation to the asynchronous operation by the synchronous memory device at the second memory address. The second set of signals and initiation, duration and frequency of the asynchronous clock pulse comply with requirements of the synchronous memory device to process the synchronous operation.

  • Patent number: 6237162
Abstract: A cover for a helmet includes a covering portion having side portions, a top portion, a lower elastic edge, and means for attaching the covering portion to the helmet. A covered helmet assembly includes a beanie-type motorcycle helmet with a removable, mating covering portion. The covering portion includes side portions and a top portion, and a lower, elastic edge. The covering portion further includes three female snap fastener portions on a front, interior surface thereof, spaced and adapted to mate with three similarly-positioned male snap fastener portions on a front, exterior surface of the motorcycle helmet. The covering portion also includes a selectively-releasable, mating hook and loop fabric patch pair wherein the loop portion is located on the covering portion's rear, interior surface and the hook portion is located on the helmet's rear, exterior surface. A visored, covered helmet assembly includes a helmet, a covering portion and a visor.

  • Patent number: 4138312
Abstract: The incinerator product obtained from the incineration of black liquor and other spent liquors from a soda pulping process is treated to remove contaminants including chlorides, sulphates and potassium compounds and to recover a high proportion of the sodium carbonate. The incinerator product is treated with water to form a slurry in which substantially pure sodium carbonate monohydrate is crystallized and a major proportion of the contaminants are dissolved, the sodium carbonate monohydrate is then separated and dissolved sodium carbonate is recovered as a bicarbonate or sesquicarbonate precipitate by carbonation of the solution. The preferred process involves an initial flue gas carbonation of the separated mother liquor after removal of sodium carbonate monohydrate to produce a sodium sesquicarbonate precipitate and a subsequent carbonation of the mother liquor, after separation of the sodium sesquicarbonate therefrom, with pure carbon dioxide to precipitate sodium bicarbonate.
