  • Patent number: 5558338
Abstract: A versatile, multi-use base assembly constituting a stable support for post-like standards for each of series of different games to be played by children. In a football game and in a soccer game a base-carried supports an upwardly projecting wall. For the soccer game the wall defines a specially-contoured, tension-controlled resilient target area net for forcibly impinging a ball thereagainst, as occurs during the conduct of a game simulating soccer goal shots. The rebound trajectory is a function of the particular zone of the net impinged by the kicked ball, The football game simulates field goal attempts. Again, balls propelled to impact the tensioned, net-like target wall are automatically redirected toward the player for recoupment and for replay. In the basketball game of the invention the ball drops through the hoop to impinge upon an upwardly tilted top surface of the base or pedestal, The ball is, accordingly, redirected to the player.

  • Patent number: 5454636
Abstract: A combination storage cabinet and L-shaped work station assembly. The assembly includes a base having a top work surface. An arcuately-swingable, pedestal-mounted top is supported above, overlies and is spaced upwardly of the top surface of the cabinet. In a second position, the top is pivotally displaced about a fixed vertical axis to extend outwardly in a horizontal plane and normally of a principal horizontal axis of the cabinet to expose the top work surface of the cabinet and to form, with the cabinet, an L-shaped work station. Walls depend skirt-like from two adjacent edges of the top to define a visual screen for hiding from view office components which may conveniently be allowed to remain in place on the top work surface of the cabinet when the assembly is in a closed mode.

  • Patent number: 5163676
Abstract: A self-standing game assembly for indoor and outdoor use and having a standard including a bounce-back base supporting a height adjustable post. A post-mounted backboard projects upwardly from the post and a stress-responsive safety hoop or ring, pivotally secured at a base of the backboard, carries a hanging, tubular basket. The backboard is imprinted with indicia designating reference impact areas for use during the playing of various games involving a thrown ball directed toward the backboard. The base of the assembly is generally wedge-shaped, and is contoured to present to a ball dropped through the basket a pitched or angled impact face which serves to direct a ball which has fallen through the hoop, and which has then impinged on the pedestal to return toward a player positioned in front of and facing the backboard.

  • Patent number: 5158187
Abstract: A two-component shelf-like or tray assembly of two end-joined interlocking panels each fabricated of molded plastics compositions. Abutting, inter-joinable end walls of the panels are of reciprocal structural configurations, making it possible to use a single mold in fabricating the panels themselves. The panels are pivotally interengageable and manually manipulable to lock and to assume a continuous, lineally extended, expanse constituting a stable, composite, unitary structure having a generally flat or planar support surface. Integrally formed auxiliary structures permit arrangement of a plurality of panel assemblies as a tiered, vertical array. Panels either of the same or of dissimilar longitudinal dimensions may be combined to provide shelves of selectable overall length.

  • Patent number: 4703703
Abstract: A variable width tiered display stand, which may be supplied in knocked-down condition, and which may be readily assembled at the site of use, is disclosed. The stand provides multiple tiers, each adapted for support of a box of boxed goods thereon, to provide an attractive means for display, and offer, of goods to prospective customers, while permitting the shopkeeper to easily withdraw empty boxes of goods from the tiers and to insert fresh boxed goods on the tiers as may be required or desired. The stands are preferably made of transparent plastic parts which may be easily fit together, and which do not require additional fastener means for keeping the tiered display stand assembled.

  • Patent number: 4694962
Abstract: Aliquot segments of a product transport pallet are maintained assembled to form a pallet assembly of a standard size by rigid members and metallic bands, by mutual interengagement of abutting portions of the segments or by rigid members and clips to enable the segments and a divisible cargo of products contained on the pallet to be readily separated or split into segments for ease of transport and/or display at a point of storage or sale.

  • Patent number: 4605130
Abstract: A display stand for displaying articles at point-of-sale in which a one-piece upstanding base is provided with an integral article-supporting section that is pivotal about a fold line relative to one of the four walls of the base, so that the article-supporting section may alternatively be pivoted into the hollow interior of the upstanding base to provide a support for the displayed articles, and out of the hollow interior of the base to a substantially parallel position with the wall to which it is connected for subsequent folding and storage. The display stand is further provided with a storage bin connected to the upper, rear rim portion of the upstanding base and elevated above the article-supporting section, which storage bin is provided with a lower, exit mouth through which the display articles exit as the articles displayed on the article-support surface are removed.

  • Patent number: 4583308
Abstract: A multi-purpose, adjustable and deformable, self-supporting, ribbon-like band serving both as a display flag for price label, product information, and inventory code use, and also as a protective shield for covering an article-supporting rod or bracket carried by and extending from a peg-board-like panel. A tab assembly at a projecting free end of the band includes a record tag or label adapted to carry thereon visual indicia providing selectable product information.

  • Patent number: 4520978
Abstract: An improved display hanger increases the capacity of a merchandise display panel by utilizing a vertical extension between a product retaining arm or rod, and a hanger mounting connector. A plurality of the improved hangers mounted at the top of a display panel adds an additional row of merchandise carrying capacity to the panel, thus increasing the amount of merchandise available for consumer purchase.

  • Patent number: 4411382
Abstract: A standing display assembly including a floor base surmounted by, interlocked with, and supporting a display tray for containing items to be promoted for sale. Wing-like side panels hingedly joined to the tray at lateral edges thereof and extending rearwardly and outwardly carry imprinted graphic descriptive and advertising indicia, which indicia are thus rendered visible and readable from the front and also from each side of the erected assembly. The floor base is readily collapsible along pre-formed fold lines to assume a substantially flat packet, the resulting compact being dimensioned to permit packaging thereof within the tray, together with the sale items, whereupon the tray is simply and readily closable to provide a complete, unitary, compact package for shipment and storage.

  • Patent number: 4085986
Abstract: An open-top, thermally insulated "secondary" case for the storage and display of perishable food stuffs which must be maintained at a refrigerated temperature. The case is "parasitic" in the sense that it itself includes no independent refrigeration apparatus but is, rather, supported on a wall of a primary or "host" refrigerated storage and display case so that, with the aid of a cooperating fixed baffle, air deflection panel, or vane, cooled air from the primary storage case is directed into the secondary case, thereby to cool the interior of the secondary case and the articles retained therein.
