  • Patent number: 9065744
Abstract: A probe receives a first packet over a network on a port. A sequence number and synchronization source identifier (SSRC) associated with the first packet are identified. The probe receives a subsequent packet and a sequence number and SSRC associated with the subsequent packet are determined. The probe determines whether the SSRC associated with first packet and the SSRC associated with the subsequent packet match. Additionally, the probe determines whether the sequence number associated with the subsequent packet is within an acceptable range of values related to the sequence number associated with the first packet. Additionally, the probe calculates the time interval between reception of the packets. The probe classifies traffic on the port as RTP or non-RTP traffic based on analysis of the SSRCs, sequence numbers and time intervals.

  • Patent number: 8651391
Abstract: An energy saving air quality control system modulates supply fan speed by use of controlled, variable-frequency drive controls for automatic dampers or suction pressure to maintain adequate air flow across the evaporator coil at partial cooling loads. Indexing the fan speed to maintain the suction pressure of the energized coil controls the maximum relative humidity of the conditioned space. Demand ventilation in the system balances air quality and energy consumption by controlling the outdoor air damper in response to indoor CO2 and humidity levels.

  • Patent number: 8424618
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an auger boring machine for boring through the earth. The auger boring machine includes a cutting head for engaging a working face of the earth to cut a bore. The cutting head is rotatable about a drive axis so as to cut the earth at the working face. The auger boring machine further includes an auger that is rotatable about the drive axis for transporting spoil resulting from the operation of the cutting head away from the cutting head. Additionally, the auger boring machine includes a casing housing the auger which is urged to move into the bore behind the cutting head. The cutting head and the auger are movable along the drive axis relative to the casing. Furthermore, the auger boring machine includes a steering member positioned near the cutting head for directing movement of the casing into the bore in a steered direction transverse to the drive axis.

  • Publication number: 20110266062
Abstract: A drill rod is disclosed. The drill rod includes a casing assembly defining a length that extends axially between a first end and an opposite second end of the drill rod, and a drive shaft rotatably mounted within the casing assembly. The drive shaft extends axially along the drill rod generally from the first end of the casing assembly to the second end of the casing assembly. The drill rod also includes latching pins at the first end of the drill rod and latching pin receivers at the second end of the drill rod. The drill rod further includes latches provided adjacent the latching pin receivers. The latches are movable between latching and non-latching positions. The latches move along an orientation of movement then the latches between the latching and non-latching positions. The drill rod may also include biasing structures that apply retention forces to the latches for retaining the latches in the non-latching position.

  • Patent number: 6745452
Abstract: An apparatus for making temporary road mats characterized by multiple layers of mutually perpendicular elongated timbers having an array of vertical intersections aligned in lateral rows. The apparatus includes a pair of assembly tables spaced along an assembly line on a work floor. Each table has an upper layout surface spaced vertically above the work floor and provides a work bay therebelow. The layout surface having indicia for orienting the discrete timbers in each layer whereby the timber may be roughly assembled. A gang drill moves in a longitudinal path along the assembly line with respect to the assembly tables. The gang drill carries a plurality of drills for sequentially drilling the lateral rows of intersections. The gang drill alternates between tables while manual assembly operations are conducted at the other table.

  • Patent number: 4573667
Abstract: An apparatus for rapidly quenching substantially flat metal workpieces which have been heated during a heat treatment process is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a substantially flat plate having a plurality of vapor relief apertures therein, a wick element which overlies the plate so that it substantially covers the apertures, and means for supplying a coolant such as water, to the wick element so that the coolant is substantially evenly dispersed therein. The apparatus is operable for urging a heated workpiece into face to face engagement with the wick element to effect intimate contact between the workpiece and the coolant in the wick element. As soon as the workpiece contacts the coolant in the wick element, at least a portion of the coolant is substantially instantaneously vaporized to effect rapid cooling of the workpiece, the vaporized portion of the coolant escaping from the wick element through the relief apertures in the plate so that it does not impede the quenching process.
