  • Publication number: 20150351898
Abstract: A scapholunate dissociation/instability construct including an anchor having a proximal end and a distal end, and a threaded internal bore which may communicate with an eyelet at the distal end. The anchor is provided with two lateral, parallel sides that are smooth and non-threaded, and adjacent to sides that are provided with a plurality of ribs or threads.

  • Patent number: 8961575
Abstract: A button and attached suture loop for CMC repair. A suture strand is threaded through holes in the button to attach the button to the suture. The suture ends are then brought together (by being swaged, spliced or cinched together, for example) to form the suture loop comprising a continuous, uninterrupted suture loop with a single strand of swaged-together ends. The swaged-together ends are attached to a suture passing instrument such as a K-wire (Kirschner wire) that is also used to drill a hole through adjoining metacarpals (for example, the first and second metacarpals). The swaged-together ends of the suture are then passed through the drill holes in the first and second metacarpals, and the ends of the suture are pulled until the button abuts one of the first and second metacarpals. A second button is used to secure the cut suture ends to the other metacarpal.

  • Publication number: 20140243892
Abstract: A suture anchor construct with an anchor tip and eyelet that securely engages and locks into a cannulated anchor body (a fixation device such as a cannulated interference screw or plug). The eyelet of the anchor tip receives a strand attached to tissue or graft, such that the strand is able to freely slide through the eyelet to correctly position tissue attached to the strand. The anchor tip has an outer diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the anchor body (fixation device) and it retracts into the anchor body as the anchor body is advanced into the bone hole to fixate the strand and the attached tissue to bone.
