Abstract: A method includes receiving, from a user device, a request for a discount; identifying first vendors for providing first discounts responsive to the request; transmitting, to the user device, a first list of discounts; and receiving, from the user device, a second request to associate a selected matching discount with a user. The first vendors include a first vendor, a second vendor, and remaining vendors. The first vendor offers a first maximum discount that is a highest discount amongst the first vendors and the second vendor offers a second maximum discount that is a second highest discount amongst the first vendors after the first vendor. The first list of discounts includes a first discount, from the first vendor, that is higher than the second maximum discount of the second vendor by a first increment; and a second discount, from the second vendor, that corresponds to the second maximum discount.

Abstract: A method for exchanging user data includes, in response to a user enabling an interface component of a device of the user, commencing identifying potential nearby contacts; displaying a subset of the potential nearby contacts while the interface component is enabled; continuing the identifying of the potential nearby contacts while the interface component is enabled; in response to the user disabling the interface component, stopping identifying additional potential nearby contacts; receiving a selection of a potential nearby contact of the displayed subset of the potential nearby contacts; in response to receiving the selection of the potential nearby contact, sending a request to the potential nearby contact to become connected with the potential nearby contact; and in response to the potential nearby contact accepting the request, setting the user as a contact of the potential nearby contact.

Abstract: A method for data sharing includes receiving, from a potential contact, a first location. The method also includes, in a case that a second location of a user device of a user matching the first location, identifying, for the user, the potential contact; receiving, from the user device, a request for the user to become a contact with the potential contact, the request includes a permission setting, the permission indicates whether a subset of user data of the user can be viewed by the potential contact; sending, based on the request, a communication to the potential contact to initiate a data exchange; and, in response to receiving an acceptance of the communication: setting the user as a contact of the potential contact, the subset of the user data is viewable to the potential contact in accordance with the permission; and setting the potential contact as a contact of the user.

Abstract: Data sharing between devices in a network is described. User data associated with a user device is identified, and a location of the user device is determined. A potential contact device located within a proximity range relative to the location of the user device is identified. Communications are sent between the user device and the potential contact device to initiate data sharing. In response to the communications, data is exchanged between the user device and the potential contact device by sending the user data to the potential contact device, and sending contact data associated with the potential contact device to the user device to modify contact information stored in association with the user device. The data sharing can also initiate a chat session and/or generate a display.
