    Abstract: An electrical connector adapted for placement on a single edge of a thin film device having an electrically responsive layer to deliver electric current from a power supply to at least one electrode in electrical contact with the electrically responsive layer. The electrical connector extends part way into the electrically responsive thin film layer. The electrically responsive thin film can be a liquid crystal or polymer dispersed liquid crystal, an electroluminescent layer, or an electrochromic layer.
