Patent number: 10066379Abstract: A portable restroom includes an automatic continuous flushing feature and a touchless flush request sensor. An automatic light provides welcome lighting in darker locations. An electric fan increases ventilation and reduces odor and temperature in the restroom. Sensors monitor various levels and usage of consumables. A processor monitors the sensed data and wirelessly alerts a service provider when the restroom needs service. A flushing bowl is placed in the commode opening to hide the waste within the tank. The flushing bowl includes a relatively small opening in a forward portion of the inner bowl surface for waste to pass through. A spray nozzle for directing water over the interior of the bowl is provided to minimize the chance that waste sticks to the inner bowl.Type: GrantFiled: August 19, 2016Date of Patent: September 4, 2018Assignee: Satellite Industries, Inc.Inventors: Kenneth V. Schomburg, Ronald J. Holmstadt

Patent number: 7975325Abstract: A portable restroom is designed to provide features which enhance the comfort and appeal to users. These features include a rigid and stable structure, including a rigid floor structure, thus providing a sense of security to the user. Further, flushing and fresh water capabilities are achieved by using a dual tank structure made capable by the base design itself. This dual tank structure is achieved utilizing a unique siphoning pump to provide appropriate functionality.Type: GrantFiled: October 6, 2006Date of Patent: July 12, 2011Assignee: Satellite Industries, Inc.Inventor: Ronald J. Patent number: 6327719Abstract: In order to provide additional flexibility in a portable restroom, a base assembly is specifically designed to include an internal tank capable of maintaining and carrying flushing fluid. Thus, when a flushing restroom is desired, an additional tank is not needed. In order to convert to a flushing model, the base assembly is simply filled with appropriate liquid, and a pump is added. In addition to providing additional capabilities, the additional fluid in the base unit provides for more weight, thus increasing the stability. Also, the base assembly has a support structure which can be snap fit to the tank member. By allowing the snap fitting feature, the support structure can be designed very rugged, however will very easily and completely attach to the tank member.Type: GrantFiled: March 10, 2000Date of Patent: December 11, 2001Assignee: Satellite Industries, Inc.Inventors: Douglas E. Lobertmann, Daniel J. Koughan, Ronald J. Holmstadt, Richard E. Eliasen, Todd Hilde

Patent number: 4293041Abstract: A hand-held power driven cultivator incorporating a pair of ground working implements or tillers mounted on a pair of laterally spaced vertical shafts depending from a motor and drive train enclosing housing. The tillers are counter-rotated and include interdigitating tines which engage and move the earth forwardly. A barrier freely surrounds each tiller supporting and driving shaft, and completely encloses the shaft between the tiller and the overlying housing. A scraper blade is associated with each barrier and includes a scraping edge spaced slightly from the barrier so as to enhance the ability of the barrier to repel or prevent the accumulation of weeds, roots, debris, and the like. Support and manipulation of the housing is provided for by an elongated handle including an upper fixed hand grip and power switch, and a lower adjustable hand grip.Type: GrantFiled: May 17, 1979Date of Patent: October 6, 1981Assignee: The Toro CompanyInventors: Ronald J.
