Publication number: 20240081449Abstract: An ambidextrous or hand-specific glove including a wrist region, a palm region, and a digit region. The glove is fabricated of nitrile which is resistant to toxic or corrosive substances. These substances include drugs mixed with opioids such as fentanyl and carfentanil. The fingertip regions on the glove may be of a reduced circumference so as to pull the glove material therein tightly around the tips of a user's fingers and thumb. The reduced circumferences fingertip regions helps the user to detect even a faint pulse in a patient. The glove includes a first color exterior surface and a second color interior surface. The first and second colors contrast with one another and this feature serves as a tear indicator to the user.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 17, 2023Publication date: March 14, 2024Applicant: Summit Glove, Inc.Inventors: James L. HULL, Christopher J. PEAREN, Ronald J. THATCHER

Patent number: 11825893Abstract: An ambidextrous or hand-specific glove including a wrist region, a palm region, and a digit region. The glove may be fabricated of nitrile rubber that is free of or essentially free of zinc, sulfur and accelerators to reduce allergic reactions in populations required to frequently wear protective gloves. A band region that partially or fully encircles a user's finger knuckles may be provided for easier finger bending. Texturing may be provided on glove surfaces that are used to grip articles. The fingertip regions on the front surface of the index and middle finger regions may be un-textured or smooth to enable a user to take a patient's pulse. These fingertip regions may be of reduced or smaller diameter and circumference so as to pull the glove material tightly around the tips of the user's finger and thereby applying pressure thereto so that even a faint pulse in a patient may be detected.Type: GrantFiled: December 2, 2021Date of Patent: November 28, 2023Assignee: SUMMIT GLOVE, INC.Inventors: James L. Hull, Christopher J. Pearen, Ronald J. Thatcher

Publication number: 20230172795Abstract: A method of relieving a hyperirritable area on or surrounding a mandible. The method may include steps of selecting a first head component from a set of head components of a myofascial release apparatus (MRA); connecting the first head component with a handle of the MRA; locating the hyperirritable area on or surrounding the mandible of a patient experiencing muscle tension; contacting the hyperirritable area, via a contact member of the first head component, on or surrounding the mandible of the patient; actuating a motor of the MRA, via an electrical control assembly of the MRA, from an OFF state to an ON state for vibrating the first head component at at least one predetermined frequency; and relieving the hyperirritable area on or surrounding the mandible. Optional steps may be included when using other head components provided in the set of head components.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 5, 2022Publication date: June 8, 2023Applicant: 2815866 Ontario Inc.Inventors: John Joseph Gasner, Ronald J. Thatcher, Bartek Zalewski, Christopher J. Pearen

Publication number: 20230172804Abstract: A myofascial release apparatus (MRA) for relieving at least one hyperirritable area via the vibrational energy in one of interior to an oral cavity and exterior to the oral cavity. MRA may include a handle and a motor that is operably engaged with the handle and is configured to generate a mechanical energy. MRA may also include a drive assembly that is operably engaged with the motor and the handle and is configured to generate a vibrational energy. MRA may also include an electrical control assembly that is electrically connected with the motor for controlling said motor. MRA may also include at least one head component operably connected with the handle and the drive assembly. The at least one head component is removable from the handle and the motor and is configured to relieve at least one hyperirritable area via the vibrational energy.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 5, 2022Publication date: June 8, 2023Applicant: 2815866 Ontario Inc.Inventors: John Joseph Gasner, Ronald J.
