    Abstract: In a preferred embodiment, a method of treating a surface of said oil level sensing device to promote the shedding of oil therefrom, including the steps of: coating the surface of said oil level sensing device with a primer and permitting the primer to dry; and then, coating the surface of said oil level sensing device with a silicone solution and curing the silicone solution on the surface of said oil level sensing device.
