A first image from one of the monitoring devices is recorded, and then compared with a second image from the same monitoring device. When the amount of change between the first and second images exceeds a predetermined threshold, then a scrutiny situation signal is generated. The video recorder may be located at either the monitoring location or the remote location. In some cases, the first and second video images are sent from the remote location to the monitoring location via a temporary communication channel that has at least one portion that is provided by an online computer service. In some cases, the first and second video images are sent from the remote location to the monitoring location via a temporary communication channel that has at least one wireless portion.

At the central station, telephonic interface apparatus is actuated by a control unit to selectively accomplish a telephonic connection with a remote location. Displays include the scene at the remote location and related graphic data. During routine operation, remote locations are displayed in sequence to at least one operator. Such operation may be interrupted either from a remote location or central station in the event of an urgency.

This invention further provides a method for facilitating bone formation in a subject comprising (a) delivering to a bone formation-requiring site in the subject a composition of matter comprising platelet-rich plasma, calcium and a bone-forming material, and (b) contacting the composition so delivered with a PAR-activating agent other than thrombin. This invention further provides a method for facilitating clot formation in platelet-rich plasma with a PAR-activating agent other than thrombin. This invention further provides a method of producing a formable gel comprising the step of admixing platelet-rich plasma, calcium, a bone-forming material and a PAR-activating agent other than thrombin.

The traffic-control system comprises a telephonic interface apparatus for interfacing remote telephonic terminals of the dial-up telephone system identified with the members of plural groups, a video recording unit for recording and playing video transcriptions, a storage memory for storing data on the members, including telephonic terminal numbers and area-of-interest codes and a control computer to selectively interconnect the video recording unit with the remote telephone terminals through the telephonic interface apparatus to record and receive video communication.

Abstract: An electronic computer having a limited stored program capability and adapted to perform a plurality of problems particularly useful to aircraft pilots. The unit includes an electronic calculator and a stored program controller for instructing the calculator. The programs stored in the controller cause sequential operation, including the demand for manual entry of necessary data, to calculate a desired result. The calculator includes a plurality of program selector keys operative upon the program controller for selecting the program associated with the desired result. The operating panel further includes a plurality of data entry indicators adapted to be illuminated by the controller for indicating to the operator the nature of each data entry required. The calculator is programmed to solve at least each of the following navigational and performance problems: effects of winds aloft on aircraft progress and maintenance of course, and effect of nonstandard atmospheric conditions on aircraft performance.
