  • Patent number: 10908300
Abstract: A navigation method that includes receiving a satellite navigation signal from a satellite navigation system, determining a position based on the received satellite navigation signal, obtaining quality data indicative of a satellite navigation signal quality as a function of a location information, and correcting the determined position based on the satellite navigation signal quality.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20070149428
Abstract: A contact lens package includes a sealed receptacle containing a contact lens immersed in a sterile solution. The contact lens is made of a silicone hydrogel copolymer, and the solution includes a stabilizing agent in an amount effective to inhibit changes in physical properties of the silicone hydrogel copolymer.

  • Publication number: 20060225498
Abstract: A positive displacement water meter includes a measuring chamber having an outlet port defined therein, wherein the outlet port includes a channel defined around the outlet port. A seal includes a planar surface and a curved surface, wherein the planar surface is substantially parallel to the curved surface, and the planar surface is situated within the channel. A meter casing includes an outlet port defined therein, wherein the meter casing receives the measuring chamber therein such that the outlet port of the measuring chamber is substantially aligned with the outlet port of the meter casing. The curved surface of the seal abuts a periphery of the outlet port of the meter casing forming a seal therewith. Due to the substantially arcuate cross section, the seal is adapted to resist the dislodging thereof from the channel during assembly of the positive displacement water meter.

  • Publication number: 20060160007
Abstract: A method of forming toner particles having surface particles attached thereto includes the steps of aggregating a material of at least one binder material and at least one colorant to produce toner particles, following aggregation, forming a mixture of the surface particles and the toner particles, and subjecting the mixture to a temperature above the glass transition temperature of the toner particles to coalesce the toner particles, whereby the surface particles become at least partially embedded within the surface of the toner particles. Toner particles prepared by such method include a core comprised of at least one binder and at least one colorant, and surface particles at an external surface of the toner particles, wherein at least about 50% of the surface particles are substantially completely covered by a portion of binder and a majority of the surface particles protrude from the toner particle surface a distance of at least 50% of the average particle size of the surface particles.

  • Publication number: 20060067979
Abstract: A drug delivery device for placement in the eye includes a drug core comprising a pharmaceutically active agent, and a holder that holds the drug core. The holder is made of a material impermeable to passage of the active agent and includes an opening for passage of the pharmaceutically agent therethrough to eye tissue. The holder further comprises drugs of high water solubility.

  • Publication number: 20050007260
Abstract: A meter for flowing material, e.g., water, has a meter register having an electronic display, e.g., an LED or LCD display, and a mechanical read-out display driven by a stepper motor to record units of water that flowed through the meter. In the event of an electrical power failure, the LED or LCD readout values are lost, however, the mechanical read-out values remain. Further, signals are transmitted to a microprocessor of a meter register to change the rotation of the stepper motor so that the meter register can be used with different types of meters. Still further, a meter generator co-acting with a meter register forwards an electrical pulse signal after a quantity of material or utility passes through a water meter to a microprocessor of a remote reader. The remote reader includes an odometer coupled to a stepper motor.

  • Patent number: 6302378
Abstract: A new snowmobile jack that does not require the hands or fingers of the user to be anywhere near the jack when raising and lowering the snowmobile. The jack comprises a T-bar that moves telescopically vertically to support a rear handle/tow bar on a snowmobile. A mechanical linkage operated by a first foot pedal raises and lowers the T-bar. A second mechanical device on the jack includes a positive latch operated by a second foot pedal. The latch positively prevents the first foot pedal and linkage from lowering the T-bar. Both foot pedals must be simultaneously depressed to release the latch and allow the T-bar to descend. The simultaneous action with two feet makes very unlikely any inadvertent lowering of the jack and obviates the need for the user to reach down to the jack with the hands.
