  • Patent number: 11286536
Abstract: A system for manufacturing a part is provided. The system includes a gantry, a first mobile arm and a second mobile arm, at least one conveyor and at least one sensor. The gantry has a first member and a second member disposed opposite the first member so as to define an opening. The first and the second mobile arms are disposed on the first and the second members, respectively. The at least one conveyor is operative to move the part through the opening so as to position the part within access of the first and the second mobile arms. The at least one sensor is operative to guide the first and the second mobile arms to one or more areas of the part. The first and the second mobile arms are operative to perform a manufacturing process on the part at the one or more areas.

  • Patent number: 10740585
Abstract: A system and method for reading a barcode displayed on an object is provided. The system includes a barcode reader having a plurality of cameras communicatively coupled to an image processor, and a controller device communicatively coupled to the plurality of cameras and the image processor. The cameras are arranged to define a first opening therebetween sized to receive the object therein. The controller device triggers an operation of each camera. Each camera is operative to capture a respective image of a different corresponding portion of the surface of the object, and to send the respective image to the image processor. The image processor is configured to combine the respective images received from each camera into a composite image, and to read a barcode from the composite image.

  • Publication number: 20110106717
Abstract: A system and method are presented for creating and maintaining quality control records. The system includes a plurality of client devices. Each client device captures information, data and decisions associated with raw material, components and assemblies of components. The information, data and decisions document operations and operating conditions at a plurality of stages in a life cycle of the raw materials, components and assemblies. The system includes a communication network and one or more servers operatively coupled to the client devices over the network. The servers create quality control records including the information, data and decisions for the materials, components and assemblies. The system includes one or more data stores that store the quality control records. The information, data and decisions includes measurements and readings taken by the input-output devices and decisions made at the stages and that document properties of the raw materials, components and assemblies.

  • Publication number: 20110106460
Abstract: A system and method are presented for qualifying a component. The system includes a receiving station, a control section, a plurality of test/inspection stations, a data storage section and a marking station. The receiving station receives a component. The control section includes a processor. The plurality of test/inspection stations each include equipment to measure one or more of physical, compositional and resistance properties of the component. The processor and the equipment cooperate to compare the measured properties to predefined properties for acceptance of the component, and to determine conformance between the measured properties and the predefined properties to qualify the component for use. The data storage section includes data store that receives and stores the predefined properties, the unique identifier, and the measured properties of the component. The marking station includes marking equipment to mark the component with the unique identifier.
