Abstract: A microfiche separator and transport apparatus is provided comprising a first vacuum means for separating and transporting a microfiche master from a stack of masters to a platen of a microfiche duplicator. The platen is actuable from a home position to a copying station for exposing the microfiche master to a roll film and return to the home position. On the return of the platen to the home position, a second vacuum means is provided for transporting the microfiche master from the platen to an exit hopper. The operation of the first vacuum means for separating and transporting the master from the stack to the platen, and the operation of the second vacuum means for transporting the master from the platen to the exit hopper, occur simultaneously.
