  • Patent number: 11865814
Abstract: The present invention provides an aerospace or aircraft transparency which, generally, includes a cast acrylic having a conductive acrylic incorporating a conductive ionic polymer is cast thereatop and cured. In a second embodiment hereof, a stretchable acrylic formulation having a conductive polymer admixed therewith along with a minor amount of a cross-linking agent cast atop a ply of unfilled stretchable acrylic. The stack is simultaneously cured and then stretched.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 15, 2017
Date of Patent: January 9, 2024
    Assignee: Texstars, LLC
    Inventor: Ronald L. Meline
  • Patent number: 11608449
Abstract: A water shedding finish for aircraft or aerospace transparencies is prepared from a paraffin wax and at least a solvent linear or branched C6 to C8 alkane solvent. The finish may further include a surfactant and similarly the solvent may be present as a co-solvent system.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 22, 2019
Date of Patent: March 21, 2023
    Assignee: Texstars, LLC
Inventors: Ronald L. Meline, John Henry Sandoval
  • Patent number: 11597173
Abstract: The present invention provides a composition as well as a method for repairing deep scratches, gouges, etc. and which is particularly useful for aircraft and aerospace transparency repair. The composition is a blend of a polishable two-part, solvent-free, polyurethane coating composition for repairing the transparencies and which, after application, cures to a thermoset polyurethane. An optical grid is emplaced over the area to be repaired prior to applying the blend.
