  • Patent number: 10993792
Abstract: A storage cabinet (1) that may be used to store CAD/CAM milling blanks (45) such as those used in dentistry. Drawers or box assemblies (3) are placed on shelves (4) within the cabinet (1). Each box assembly (3) includes a forward compartment (15) which includes a lower cavity (16). Perforations (17) in the top surface (20) of the forward compartment permit a spindle retaining assembly (23) within the cavity (16) to grip the spindle or shaft (46) of a blank which may be readily viewed and removed by a user as needed. The retaining assembly (23) includes an orthogonal groove (32) that is biased by a spring (29) in order to permit spindles of various sizes and geometries to be retained.

  • Patent number: 8066132
Abstract: A water bottle adapter (6) fits securely onto a water bottle (1) which is used to isolate the water within the bottle from a common water supply. The adapter (6) is fastened to a mating device by means of a threaded neck (7). The neck (7) includes two longitudinal tensioning ribs (37) that promote a retaining function between the neck (7) and any device that has been affixed to the neck (7). A pressure relief valve (13) having a valve stem (14) is formed within the lid (8) of the adapter (6) to permit the escape of air from the bottle (1) when in use. A series of ribs (19) is formed within a bore containing the valve stem (14) to dampen noise produced by the operation of the valve (13).

  • Publication number: 20070287123
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a mirror assembly (14) by placing a beveled mirror (18) within a carrier (19) prior to inserting the carrier into a mirror handle head (23). The mirror handle head (23) is inserted into a mold position (27) and a molten thermoplastic resin is introduced into the mold. A series of mirror retaining clips (20) formed integrally with the carrier (19) maintain the mirror (18) in a precise location during the molding process and permit resin to overlay the mirror bevel (35) without reaching the mirror surface (22). The mirror handle (15) may be customized during manufacture to include a ribbed, soft grip region (16, 17) by forming a handle core (36) that includes a recessed region defined by shoulders (43, 44). A central region of the core (36) includes voids that define characters or symbols (38, 39, 40, and 41) that are filled with a thermoplastic material during a molding process (4).

  • Patent number: 7163606
Abstract: A system for recovering methylene chloride from an aqueous waste stream is disclosed. The system includes a distillation unit, at least one heat transfer unit, receptacles for methylene chloride and waste product, a temperature probe and a controller configured to selectively divert product flow from the distillation unit to either of the receptacles or to a recycle line back to the distillation unit depending upon the temperature measured by the probe. Also disclosed is a related process of recovering methylene chloride with such a system.
