  • Patent number: 6354819
Abstract: A mechanically actuated diaphragm pump for pumping fluids includes a pump head body having an outer surface, a pumping cavity, an inlet, an outlet, and suction and discharge valves. The suction and discharge valves are externally mounted on the pump head body and are slidably removable in a direction perpendicular to the direction of fluid flow to or from the pump.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: March 12, 2002
    Assignee: United States Filter Corporation
Inventors: Manor M. Parikh, John A. Soper, Ronald M. Bradbury
  • Patent number: 6068450
Abstract: A mechanical actuated diaphragm pump for pumping fluids. The pump includes a pump housing having a chamber, a flexible diaphragm forming at least a portion of one wall of the chamber, a reciprocally movable member for causing reciprocal movement of a portion of the diaphragm, a rotating shaft connected to the reciprocally movable member such that rotation of the shaft causes reciprocation of the reciprocally movable member and a motor having an output shaft for driving the rotating shaft. The reciprocally moving member and the motor may be attached by an Oldham coupling.

  • Patent number: 5957669
Abstract: A mechanical actuated diaphragm pump for pumping fluids. The pump includes a pump housing having a chamber, a flexible diaphragm forming at least a portion of one wall of the chamber, a reciprocally movable member for causing reciprocal movement of a portion of the diaphragm, a rotating shaft connected to the reciprocally movable member such that rotation of the shaft causes reciprocation of the reciprocally movable member and a motor having an output shaft for driving the rotating shaft. The motor can be alternatively and selectively mounted with respect to the pump housing in a first alternative position such that the output shaft of the motor is fixed to the rotating shaft to drive the rotating shaft, and in a second alternative position such that the output shaft is connected to the rotating shaft through a pair of pulleys to drive the rotating shaft.
