  • Patent number: 11898651
Abstract: The disclosure provides for a valve including a surface movably engaged with another surface. A coating is on the surface and is characterized by: a CoF of less than 0.1; a hardness in excess of 1,200 HVN; impermeability to liquids at pressures ranging from 15 and 20,000 psi; a surface finish of 63 or less; and a thickness ranging from 0.5 to 20 mils. The disclosure provides for material constructions including a continuous phase, including a transition metal, and a discontinuous phase, including a solid dry lubricant. The disclosure also provides for a method of depositing a coating that includes depositing a first layer of a coating onto a surface using electroplating, electroless plating, thermal spraying, or cladding, and then depositing a second layer of the coating onto a surface of the first layer using sputtering, ion beam, plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition, cathodic arc, or chemical vapor deposition.

  • Publication number: 20210255157
Abstract: A method is provided for mitigating fugitive methane emission, which includes scanning a plurality of facilities for fugitive methane emission using an airborne sensor, and classifying the plurality of facilities based on results of the scanning. Optionally, further inspection of at least one facility of the plurality of facilities can be performed to detect and locate fugitive methane emission based on the classifying. Optionally, at least one facility can be selectively repaired based on the further inspection in order to mitigate fugitive methane emission. In another aspect, a planning workflow is provided that employs a clustering method to define cluster data representing a set of facility clusters in a geographical region that are associated with a particular base.

  • Patent number: 11002701
Abstract: The disclosure provides for apparatus, including coated parts, where a base material of the part is coated with a multilayer coating. The multilayer coating includes at least three layers, including at least two electrically conductive layers. Also provided is a method for making apparatus, which includes providing a part and applying a multilayer coating to the base material of the part. Further provided is a method of monitoring and diagnosing a condition of a coated part. The method includes providing a coated part having a multilayer coating on a base material, measuring an electrical response of the multilayer coating, and correlating the electrical response with a condition of the multilayer coating.

  • Publication number: 20050236051
Abstract: A multi-port flow selector manifold valve includes a plurality of inlet ports adapted to be coupled to a fluid source, a test outlet adapted to communicate with at least one of the plurality of inlet ports, and a production outlet adapted to communicate with at least at least one of the plurality of inlet ports. A flow path is rotatably disposed between the test outlet and the plurality of inlet ports such that the flow path is rotatably alignable with each of the plurality of inlet ports. The flow path includes an inlet flow path having a longitudinal direction of flow and adapted to communicate with one of the plurality of inlet ports, an outlet flow path having a direction of flow substantially parallel to the inlet direction of flow and adapted to communicate with the test outlet, and an offset portion disposed between the inlet flow path and the outlet flow path. The offset portion has a direction of flow with an angle of less than 90 degrees to the outlet direction of flow.

  • Publication number: 20050236050
Abstract: A system for connecting multiple pipe lines includes a plurality of multi-port selector valves. Each valve includes a valve body having an inlet port module that includes a body adapted to connect to a fluid source and an outlet port module having a body with at least two outlet ports. Each of the outlet ports may connect to an outlet fluid destination. A port selector rotatably disposed in the valve body includes a rotatable member having a flow path there through that has a path inlet and a path outlet. The path outlet has a second flow direction substantially parallel to said first flow direction with an angle of less than 90 degrees to the first flow direction. An offset portion disposed between the first flow direction and the second flow direction has a longitudinal flow direction. An outlet valve line is adapted to connect one of the at least two outlet ports of a first valve of the plurality of valves to the inlet port of another of the plurality of valves.
