  • Patent number: 9302688
Abstract: A drum truck for handling a drum has a base. A wheel assembly is removably attached to the base. A post is removably attached to the base. The post has a handle. A breakover member is removably and operatively coupled to the base. The breakover member is configured to allow application of a foot pressure to break over the drum truck from a standing vertical position to an angled position. At least one pair of toes is removably attached to the base and configured to support the drum. A drum restraint is removably attached to the post and configured to releasably secure the drum to the post.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: April 5, 2016
    Assignee: Wesco Industrial Products, Inc.
Inventors: Stefan Reddi, Mike Connors, Jeff Jarrell, Ronald Melvin

  • Patent number: 6594614
Abstract: A warning system that warns an operator of an impending collision with an object while the operator is backing up. The system scans behind the vehicle with an emitter/sensor system and determines a time-to-collision with the object based on distance to the object and vehicle speed. Based upon the time-to-collision, a simple combination of visual and audio signals is designed to let the operator known of the imminency of a collision with the object so that the operator may react and make appropriate countermeasures.

  • Patent number: 6434486
Abstract: An object sensing system is capable of masking certain detected objects such that the system does not provide an alarm. Initially, a projected path of the vehicle is determined by using a current steering angle of the vehicle. Next, a desired warning distance is determined based upon the current steering angle. Then, a current distance to a sensed object, as derived from an object sensor, is determined. Finally, an alarm is provided only if the sensed object is within the desired warning distance.

  • Patent number: 6407696
Abstract: A method for optimizing the sensitivity of certain radar sensors that works by placing target objects within a sensor's field of coverage at strategic locations and adjusting the sensor's radar parameters as a function of the sensor target location and performance characteristics of the sensor, including bin resolution and spatial constraints. The proposed methods are ideally suited for a wide variety of uses, including for use on production lines. The methods are equally appropriate for use in other areas, including sensor maintenance and recalibration and in the development and validation of sensors.

  • Patent number: 6371347
Abstract: An air switch including a housing, a lubrication port, a first air inlet port and an exhaust port is disclosed. The housing includes a chamber. The lubrication port is disposed to deliver lubrication into the chamber. The first air inlet port is disposed to introduce air into the chamber. The exhaust port is disposed to exhaust the lubrication and air from the chamber.
